I got the Clarisonic about a month ago, and ever since I started using it, I've gotten these bumps on my forehead. They aren't quite like pimples - they aren't red or anything, and they aren't like whiteheads (although they do expel a white substance if squeezed). Just a ton of little bumps all over.

I'm using my usual skin care products. Any idea what's going on and how I can solve this problem?

Perhaps you should give up the Clarisonic, I think the best tool is their own fingers clean.

There may be a result of your cleansing, if you are using a new cleanser

I do like my Clarisonic as it gets the makeup off quite well... but I have no idea why its causing the bumps. I'm sure its not my cleanser, since I've been using the same cleanser for years.

Anyone else have an idea of whats causing the problem?

To me what is happening to you sounds like milia. Are you using any new, oil rich products on your face?

I consider my Clarsonic to be the best beauty tool I have. Since I've been using it...I look much younger. I have found it actually tones and firms my skin. Don't give it up. Perhaps it is just clearing up your skin...bringing all the impurities to the top...so you're breaking out now..but it will clear up. Just like retin A would do.
I'd keep using it...and make sure it is not the cleanser or any other new topical you are using.

I'm another fan of Clarisonic. My pores get blocked very easily fr some reason, and the Clarisonic is very helpful in cleaning the pores out. However, when I first started using it, it did seem to cause more of the bumps to come to the surface, but overtime, these were completely gone. You might want to watch out for the cleansers that come with it though, I heard one of them has a substance that some people might be allergic to. I can't remember what it was so I never used them. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your comments everyone. The only new thing I introduced to my skincare routine was the clarisonic - I was using the same cleanser I always used, same moisturizer. The bumps do seem like milia... and I contacted a dermatologist friend of mine who said I should stop using the Clarisonic for a while. He said the main cause of milia is over-scrubbing the skin.

I was using my Clarisonic 2 times a day, with my own cleanser. After the bumps appeared, I started using it once a day... but the bumps continued. Now, I will only use it every second day. I hope this will solve the problem - I do like the glow I get from the Clarisonic... but those bumps are so annoying!
