Hi Everyone!
Firstly I am new to this forum so hello!
Secondly, I have just ordered a bottle of latisse/careprost from all day chemist, but as this is a drug and have heard it can cause your lashes to become brittle after a few months of use, I wanted to find a good conditioner to use along side it so that I don't have this problem!

I am thinking of trying the talika lipocils. Has anyone tried this and found their lashes were in better condition as a result?

Can anyone recommend any other good eyelash conditioners that arn't 'growth' products but simply make the lashes in better condition? (Also not too expensive, I am strap for cash right now!)

Thanks xxx

Hello Lucy and Welcome! Smile

The least expensive option that many are quite happy with is Castor Oil, I just suggest getting cold pressed organic at the health food store.

I have used the Talika in the past and loved it, but it is getting up there in price. Smile

DarkMoon,it's the least expensive and the slowest working Wink

I use RapidLash ($34 CAD on Ebay) and it compliments latisse very well since it makes lashes thicker. I also tried Ardell lash growth accelerator ($10 CAD)which is cheaper than RapidLash ( and with castor oil, I think) with no visible effect at all.

I am glad you mentioned that, I didn't because those are both lash growth enhancers but if they are working for you than that's great. Smile

Thanks to the both of you! I will deffo get some castor oil. The rapidlash looks great but a lil bit expensive for a conditioner (which is all I want it for).

I am curious, are you both using the Latisse? How are you finding it, any problems?

The only problem as you said it makes lashes thin and perky, they will not be evenely long! That's why it's better to start using another less effective lash growth product to thicken them and make them look evenely long. Castor oil will not do it ( may be in a very long run, I don't know Rolling Eyes ) I also first bought Ardell because it's cheap but then my lashes started looking funny, some are long the others are short, so I bought RapidLash.

Thanks for your reply. Have you found that since using the rapidlash your eyelashes are more even now? If this is the case I may get some... how often do you apply yours? And do you use it straight after applying the latisse?

Thanks!

I use Latisse only 2-3 times a week, on the other days I use RapidLash. It didn't take me long to notice the difference between Ardell and RapidLash, probably in a week or two. When I used Ardell instead of RapidLash I had few really long lashes sticking out as if I had three or four false lashes Very Happy

Check the reviews of RapidLash on EDS, it's much cheaper than other version like RevitaLash ($135CAD) or Jan Marini ($80 I think). There is also Talika Conditioning cream ($30CAD) but I dont know anything about its effectiveness.
