Just read online that the skincare company SK-II are saying that the age a woman starts to age, wrinkle and sag is 35 and 1 month.
I think the suggestion is that obviously some women will have premature ageing before that point due to lifestyle factors but that by 35 your beauty really does have an expiration date on it.
I am 33 and a half so I feel like I only have a year and a half of pretty days left  .
I have no wrinkles at all at the moment. I have been using retin for a few years now, I always wear sunscreen, I don't drink, smoke or sun bath and I am mostly healthy is that enough to prevent ageing?
I am guessing the real culprit is hormonal changes that result in ageing, what can you do to prevent this?
I feel I must get myself into tip top condition before I hit 35 to have the best chance of staying attractive! |

There's an actress by the name of Gabrielle Union who is 38 and still looks 25.
Are there any women 35 and over who can give us hope that this study is utter crap?
And does the hormonal changes have anything to do with race/skin tone? I keep hearing that darker skin ages less, but if hormonal has more to do with it, then I'm scared  |

I had my last of 4 kids almost exactly 1 month after turning 35, at that time I was still constantly taken for 10 years younger than my age. Genetics, how you care for your skin, skin type.......a million things play into skin aging. BTW Stress is a major ager so ladies I wouldn't worry over it or you might just cause wrinkles!  |

I think that study is not only crap--it's self-serving crap designed to sell more stuff!
Faustine, you're already doing the main best things for your skin: just keep up the good work, and enjoy the benefits of getting older, like becoming better-traveled, better-read, more confident in your career, more attractive to older gentlemen...  |

Yes Spoiledcandy123 - it's total crap!
Quite frankly it really ticks me off that these ridiculous claims are made and published so that women are brainwashed into believing that their youth, their beauty, and their self worth begins to rapidly diminish at some predetermined birthday.
Seriously ladies this is one of the most offense claims yet. Personally, I believe that women can remain beautiful throughout their lives if they take proper care of themselves. I have seen some stunningly beautiful women in their 40's & 50's and some (not to be mean) really unattractive women in their 20's - and vise versa. Physical beauty is not solely dependent upon an age meter but rather on how well you have cared for yourself (exercise, healthy living habits, good skincare, etc) over the years. Being blessed with good genes and having healthy zest for life also goes a long way!
Quit buying into this rubbage that women are all washed up after their 20's - it's so pathetic. |

| You shouldn't really buy into the whole "you will start to look old at this exact age." Like with any part of skincare, everyone is different and their routine should be personalized. Never listen to people who make such a claim because it is not always true for everyone. Some examples is that some people can start to breakout in their 30s when most people break out in their teen years |
