So there are a lot of threads devoted to anti-ageing for the face, but not as many for the body..

Ive just started retin-a and using sunscreen properly and am feeling good about that, so now need to pay some attention to my haggard body Confused Can I have some ideas on what kind of things people are using for their bodies? Can you do peels on your body - is it worth doing on stretchmarks? Can you use the same kind of products for lightening dark areas as on your face or are there body specific products? Also, what do people use for firming?

I am still fairly new around here, but I have recently (a little over a month ago) started using copper peptides on my stomach for stretch marks and slightly saggy skin and I have noticed a significant improvement in the tone and texture of my skin already. I've been using the Trireduction CP's along with LacSal and am planning on adding the body lotion with my next order.

I have also been doing a lot of reading about dermarolling for stretch marks and am thinking about giving that a try as well.

I do body massage every night while taking shower, it takes no more than 10 mins and really like it.

I forgot all about drybrushing, I used to do that on my face and stopped since I started retin-a. I think I will start that again properly and see how it feels...

Can you get a cp body lotion/serum? Im a bit scared to use it on my face in case of uglies, but maybe a good idea to trial it on my body..

Also, can anyone recommend a firming body moisturiser? Or better still, are there any firming oils I can add to my current palmers cocoa butter which I really like for general skin smoothing?

Yes... Body brushing, and shower body massage is awesome. I do a knuckle type massage while all soaped up so I can work as deep as possible.

You can get a CP body lotion. Skin bio has them, and they are scented. The scents are a little off because of the CP, but I tend to like them anyway. I really like the Lavendar and the Ylang,Ylang.

Of course, Sunscreen when exposed. And any actives you feel you can afford in a lotion. Which usually means in a bit lower concentration for the body. But I think that's fine. Our bodies tend to be more protected from the elements than our faces.

And then finally a good diet, good hydration, lots of sleep, cardio, and muscle building/maintenance exercises as well as stretching!... I need to write a song!

I'm loving Carole Maggio's no lipo lipo technique (which is a mix of massage and skin brushing with a loofah) and its great on slimming down the body but also improving the look of it. I did it daily in the beginning, and it really did wonders for me. Highly recommend it to anyone and everyone (and started a thread on EDS about it too which you can search if you want to read more!).

Over this winter I've developed elbow wrinkles and need to get them tightened over the next few months...

I will take Laelis' advice and start using CPs in this area (it's done wonders for my face over teh years) Will keep you all posted!

For Stretch marks I just tried using M2 body refinish!

I also found it smoothed my too dry elbows and also smoothed out my feet and I have not had an issues with cracks in my heels since starting.

I am going to buy the M2 body refinish once I run out.
Was lucky to get a whole bottle free as a gift with an order from a site I buy from Smile

Don't really want to spend $45 on some body lotion though.
I did add it up and it was still cheaper than what I was buying before that only worked ok (was using Kerasal before and that is greassy and only ok still had dry feet).

Now i am amazed, my feet look like they had a pedicure and no dry skin at all.

And no horrible cracks in my heels Smile

Usually I use foot balm and file my feet w a Microplane foot file..and still had those heel crack issues! Rolling Eyes

M2 body refinish sounds great - I have real issues with dry feet Sad Looks like its an AHA lotion? But it is expensive! Can you just add AHA to a lotion and make your own? Laughing

more seriously, are there any firming actives that I could add DIY to my own lotions/oils?
for e.g. Q10, matrixyl etc, where could I get these from?

I really want to start using 'proper' actives, stuff that really works, but don't have the budget at the moment!
