Have ya'll seen on QVC that pink nail gel they sell at Sephora for $30? It does look great..it is a clear coat of gel that gives your nails a pink finished french manicured look. It coats them in a shield of acrylic gel that protects them.
Anyway...I went to sephora to try it ..but gee $30? So..when I was at target I decided to see if there was knock off. Sally Hansen has a new nail gel product for under $5. So I purchased..and it is the same thing...only it is clear and does not have the pink tint. Which I'm trying to figure out how to give it that clean pink tint...maybe you have ideas. Right now I use a coat of the nail gel..then a coat of regular clear pink..and a topcoat of the gel again.
It also looks slammin' good on top of toe polish..looks like professional pedicure finish.
As a side note.. I also bought one of those seen on t.v. Easy Feet foot scrubbers at Walgreens. and I love it! my feet look amazing! |

That's great! Yeah, I really don't understand why cosmetic companies have to ramp up their prices so much when it doesn't even need to be... |

I have used the Mavala Mavadry nail drying product and also their Colorfix topcoat and they both have that "gel finish" but are clear products.
I think they are around $15 ea and that has been the price for the past few years.
Mavala also has some kind of pink tint French manicure kit I just saw online on the Feelunique website.
I was actually looking for some Mavala nail polish when I saw that last night.

ok- it is not a french manicure kit,but there is a pink one on the site.
there is a pink tint polish in the kit I posted, you can probably order it separately, but i have not tried looking
But I think I want the "sliver" french manicure, that looks neater...
I don't really look at Sally Hansen items because I had a bad experience with their top coat a few years ago- it took away most of the shine of a nail polish I was using.
I do buy Sally Hansen nail polish remover though.
-and we do not have target in Canada yet...we are supposed to be getting them next year i think? |
