Does anyone know how to get rid of little tiny bumps under my eyes? What is it? Is it from putting too many oily lotions on my face? What should I avoid? Can I do anything now that they are there?? They look so ulgy. I am 38 and I am starting to see crows feet around my eyes and now with these bumps I don't look so great. Ha ha.

yes, that happens when you are applying something too rich under your eyes.
You'd better stop those products and see if it disappear. And you can go to the salon to pick it away for the quickest way. |

Maybe its milia? Maybe some exfoliating would help if it were. |

It might be milia but might be something else. Mine is due to thick sweat gland wall, squeezed each other and popped out. Just like somebody has big teeth but not enough room for them ended up crooked teeth (pooped out). |

Would it be possible for you to have a professional facial? The reason I ask is my sister-in-law had milia under her eyes. She had a couple of professional peels and they were gone. I have no idea what they used. When I speak with her I will ask. The eye area is so delicate. Be careful of home exfoliation. |

Hi Winnie,
Yes, I will have to do that. I did have this problem a long time ago. I had laser done for blue veins under my eyes and the little dots went away. (The veins didn't) But that is too expensive to have done again. So I will try to have something done like you suggest. Frusterating. Thank you.

At one point, I thought Cellcosmet eye contour cream was giving me Milia. I got lots of samples last spring from a lot of different lines. Because Cellcosmet texture is thick I thought it was because of that. I freaked about it. I was told that I could get it removed professionally but after I visited a facialist, she said that she could remove it for me but because I am so pale, I might get those little red veins. I was so horrified of the thought!
Instead I dried it out very slowly. It took long because it was getting warmer and the heat can make my skin a bit oilier. I also used my loose powder before I applied my make-up. At night, I applied Retinol 0.5 from Skinceuticals.
In the morning I used a physical scrub but I was gentle. |

skincare,
Thank you so very much. So if I dry it out...does that mean for a while I should avoid anything on my face?...(besides soap and make up of course.) No lotions etc...
All these bumps came back after I started using stri vectin. Which gave me more wrinkles!!! I was looking so old. I stopped using it quick.
Then I started using Avon anew....which was excellent the first time I used it. But for some reason the second time I bought it, it did not work the same. (I got the second one off E bay.) Not directly from Avon.
Now I am using Wexler eye wrinkle cream (Just started a week ago.)at night and Avon anew in the morning. (Tiny bit around the eyes.) |

I can't comment on the other brands.
Maybe it would be good idea to avoid lotions in that area. |

skincare, cellcosmet has given me the beginnings of milia too. thankfully, they are not that bad (you can see them in a thread in which i posted eye pics called "help! allergic reaction to skincare" or something to that effect). i'm not sure what to do with the rest of the bottle, and I'm hoping that a little juice beauty GA peel once a week and my old eye cream standbys will make them disappear over time...
As for those little red veins under the eyes. I have them everywhere on my face, but I've just started to notice them in the hollow under my eyes, not sure what to do!

Yup I used to have milia - I was using Dr Hauschka revitalising eye cream. After I switched to Caudalie, the milia went away after awhile. |

I sometime get like ...I call them skin tags...small spots under my eye. My opthmalogist tells me to apply a compress directly on them a few times a day, usually they go away in a couple of days. My sister, by doctor's orders forever ago, used to apply Retin-A on her "skin tags"....they were at the outer corner of her lash line. |

Hi there!
I have heard wonderful things about the Peter Thomas Ross Power K Eye Rescue - especially for treating milia! I recall reading a review on EDS about it - the member said that prior to using PTR Power K Eye Rescue she had terrible milia...and that the PTR got rid of it! You can order it from EDS...or perhaps you could ask for a sample with your next EDS order..
Good luck!

I am prone to milia and find that when I avoid using really rich eye creams I don't get them. Unfortunately, when I use really light gels or creams around my eyes I still get really dry especially on my eye lids. It's hard to find a happy between the two... and I'm still trying to find it now. Just using Zenbiotic foundation pack isn't nearly enough to keep the dryness away but I amfinding that the Zenbiotic winter moisture and sun protection helps a lot. I recently added Best Bath Store intensive under eye treatment at night and it seems to really help. We'll see if I develop any milia. I have my fingers crossed.
Prescription Tazorac has worked wonders for my milia as well. I have also found the aspirin mask to help. With the asp mask I cover my crows feet and come within 1cm of my lower eye lid. I haven't experienced irritation yet.
Be very careful with exfoliation around your delicate eye area though! |

I too have milia which did get worse with the Cellcosmet eye cream. Under another thread I commented on my success with the Dr Michelle Copeland products for this condition. The products did take some away but then the they stopped working on it! I guess that I have the really stubborn ones left. I saw my derm today and they have a milia facial for $100. They puncture and squeeze out each spot which is very tedious. They said that I would have red "dots" for about a week and possibly a little swelling since it is such a delicate area. I would love to find another solution. It is kind of funny - the better that my skin looks from all of the great products from EDS the worse the milia looks!!!!!! I can not win!!! |

I really don't know if it was Cellcosmet because I had other products lines that I was trying. But with Cellcosmet eye contour cream, I really put very tiny amount around my eyes. If I put too much on my finger, I will then apply some on my lips.
I thought Peter Thomas Ross Vit. K was for dark circles....was it Mabsy who said that she used that and it actually worked?
What a good idea to use Retinol A to remove skin tags. Does it actually work? Does it hurt when you apply the cream on regular basis? |

Hello everyone, I have been reading this forum for a couple of month now and decided to join.I have a problem that I havent seen or couldnt find. I have "skin tags" or small flesh colored moles in my lash line. Has anyone else ever had this problem and if so, what did you do to get rid of it. I am looking forward to hearing from anyone that might have a suggestion. Thanks in advance. |

I don't have any suggestions to treat on your own. At some point, I am going to book an appointment at some point to see if my milia can be removed on my eye area. Maybe you have to do the same? |

If it doesn't go away on its own, you should get a facial. The esty can definitely help with that. I would avoid exfoliating under the eye - the area is much too delicate to be exfoliating.
Good luck. |

Mine go away on their own in a month or so on the rare occasion that I get them. My esty won't touch them because they are so close to the eye, she told me to go to a dermatologist if they bother me. |

I don't know if this is what you have, but after a trip to Indonesia I started getting little blisters and moles on my upper and lower lashline and inner upper eyelid. I looked on the internet and didn't find anyone else with similar things. Dr. thought was conjunctivitis, after treatment eyedrops didn't work, switched to treatment eye cream which I put directly on the eylids and lashline at night (for infection on eyelid rather than infection on eyeball). Terribly uncomfortable. Worked a little, but they came back even after I tried again and threw away all mascaras and liners and replaced. I still have them but I'm used to it by now. Just saying, might be an infection- antibiotics might work better for you. My friend also told me of old wives tale where you wear silver rings and rub your eyes. That actually did work for quick fixes of large ones, but nobody really recommends rubbing your eyes, and its not long term.
For skin tags, my sister and I both used to get them (she still does) on our neck and eyes. I pulled them away from my skin, between my fingernails, and though mildly painful, and probably not safe, worked, and I havent got any since I started washing my face with scalding hot water and using a loofah on my neck in the shower. My sister cut them off with nail clippers, but she still gets them and I think from lazy self hygiene routine. My stepmom gets them too, only on her eyelids, because she doesn't remove her eyeshadow before bed.
On another note, I've been reading about milia on a lot of threads on EDS (I just joined, this was the reason why haha). I've been getting milia ever since I was a preteen and bought acne face wash. Clearasil, neutrogena, proactive, etc etc all caused me to get WORSE acne. I didn't use any wash for years just rinse with hot hot hot water twice a day. Now I am in my twenties, I use natural and etc mild face washes (bareminerals purifying facial cleanser, yes to carrot facewash) and they help with the oil (which was never a problem before, but after going vegan for 3 years and re-introducing dairy, I am very oily) while not giving me whiteheads, but I still get milia. I had heard about the salicylic acid treatments for milia specifically, but they never worked and in fact, I recently bought bare minerals id skin rever-upper since I get dry skin in winter and love the brand, and have noticed at least a handful of new milia since I started using, and I think that is the cause. Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in that. Does anybody have an idea that does not involve salicylic acid or getting them professionally removed??? I would be willing to get an expensive one because I imagine would last a long time as a spot treatment, but only if I KNEW it worked before the investment. The ones under my eye come out when I squeeze because the skin is so thin they just pop out, but I pick at the ones on my cheeks and gouge until it scabs, then when I peel the scab off the little pearl is stuck to it, and thats the only method I've used that works. Obviously a horrible choice, leaves scars and dark spots (which I get since I am part Asian).
Any ideas for milia?? |

Can you share how they go away? How does your skin look as it go away? Does it dry up and look very dry? |
