if you want a brand new rejuvinating skin cream look at ISCO stem cell .Just released International Stem Cell Corporation (OTCBB:ISCO), www.internationalstemcell.com, announced today the commercial launch of its innovative line of topical skin care products by the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Lifeline Skin Care (www.lifelineskincare.com). Containing extracts from human "parthenogenetic" stem cells (hpSC), the products were formulated by a team of ISCO's research scientists in collaboration with cosmetic formulation experts to create an advanced scientific approach to skin care. The patent pending serums, which come in separate formulations for day and night time use, have been safety tested by highly regarded, independent laboratories, and have been shown to promote anti-aging of the skin. |

Well, not surprised about the prices. Day product is $155 and evening product is $185. Now, from a company that has been working on this for quite sometime and probably spent a fortune bringing it to market you would think they could get the directions right on the website. Day cream says to use at night. |

I've been waiting for this line to launch - the research behind it seems to have the most clinical studies. However, it is only going to be available in the US. They are not allowed to ship internationally. This is the reply I received regarding shipping.

I do apologize, it's not that we don't wish to sell outside the US, it's a matter of the appropriate product registrations. We are only a small company and have not completed the necessary paperwork to be able to sell into Australia, NZ, the EU or anywhere else but our home country. I know it's no consolation, but we also have a lot of followers in Canada who are eager to purchase our products as soon as they become available too. |
I must admit though, the price tag would probably prevent me from buying anyway. |

Me, too. I'd like to know how long the product lasts for that price. I really hope someone will try it and give it a review. |

If you are reading the forums how about dropping the prices. |

That I would love to see! No way can I pay that kind of money especially on a product no body's tried! |

I have been following this company for a while, waiting for them to release their products. I received an email a couple of weeks ago with an offer to purchase before the end of November with $40 off. I wanted to take it up but was told no overseas shipping at this stage. I was hoping that would change soon but from what Keliu has said, it may not be too soon. There used to be a company called Shop the States which had reasonable prices to purchase in the US and have it sent to Australia but they went out of business and I don't know of another which has reasonable rates. |

I was just on their site and looked at the FAQs. It says 1 bottle should last 30-45 days. |

I wrote to them complaining about their international shipping policy and the reply I received is posted above. However, I don't understand the bit about them not having the "appropriate product registration". I purchase from numerous other small US companies where international shipping isn't an issue - and what about all the Ebay sellers.
I told this company that I thought it was ridiculous to advertise their product on the WWW and Facebook and then not offer international shipping - the world is a small place today, but a large market. |

I too wrote to them, asking for the following information:
How much product is in each bottle? (1 ounce)
What is the ingredients list for each product? (They will be getting back to me on that question; they did say the ingredients are listed on the box though!)
I also notified them of the error in application instructions for the day product.
I did find some information regarding product registration/regulation for the sale of cosmetics in Canada:
Cosmetic Regulation in Canada
The Canadian government regulates the cosmetics industry through Health Canada's Cosmetics Program. The basis for the regulatory authority for the Cosmetics Program comes from the Food and Drugs Act and Cosmetic Regulations. Cosmetics are defined as "any substance or mixture of substances, manufactured, sold or represented for use in cleansing, improving or altering the complexion, skin, hair or teeth and includes deodorants and perfumes." This definition also includes cosmetics used by professional esthetic services, as well as bulk institutional products (e.g. hand soap in school restrooms).
Health Canada's Cosmetics Program has the mandate to protect the health of Canadians by minimizing the risk associated with the use of cosmetics marketed in Canada. The program defines and communicates requirements for the manufacture, labelling, distribution and sale of cosmetics, and evaluates compliance.
As in the U.S., manufacturers are responsible for ensuring that products comply with the law before they are marketed. The manufacturer or importer of cosmetics is responsible for demonstrating that the product is safe for its intended use. Regulations are enforced by Health Canada and is overseen by Product Safety Officers who manage inspections, investigations, seizures, recalls and prosecutions from regional offices.

So yes, a company should ensure that their products meet foreign regulations prior to selling them in another country. I know from experience that certain ingredients are available for use in the Unites States, but appear on the Canadian Cosmetic Ingredients HotList, meaning an item can not be sold here. Of course, the www makes it relatively simple for consumers to buy products containing restricted ingredients as Keliu mentioned (leaving it up to customs officers to refuse delivery, once a product arrives at the border).

Just thought I'd mention that if the company ever does decide to market their product in Australia, they'll have to change the name. Lifeline is the name of our crisis telephone hot line service - no connotations of luxury with that name! |

I'll probably get into trouble for going off topic again - but I think this is useful information.
I had a consultation with a skin doctor today and he asked me what I was using. I gave him my run down and he said that it really doesn't matter what you use as long as you include Retin-A. He said it is the one thing that is an absolute MUST. Of course, he's preaching to the converted, but it's good to have your choices vindicated. He also highly recommends the use of a Dermaroller.
Because I was unable to order the Lifeline product I have ordered the Osmosis StemFactor. |

After I get done testing the products that I have on order I think that I may try this.
I used to use ISCO products when I was culturing cells in the lab. ISCO, as a company, has done extensive research for cell growth media and supplements for many types of cells. And they've been around for over 20 years.
It can probably be assumed that the actives were thoroughly tested using different types of human skin cells using cell culturing methods. If the actives actually permeate the skin deep enough and remain active this could very well be a breakthrough in skin care science.
The Osmosis StemFactor may very well work also but I don't know much about the company. Cell culture products is what ISCO does.
I just sent them an email requesting that samples be sold and that they list the ingredients. Perhaps if a lot of us requested small sample bottles be sold for evaluation purposes they would comply. |

Someone from another board said their derm recommended the exact same thing. It didn't matter what else was used, as long as RA was used at night. I am surprised that you derm also recommended the dermaroller. Did he/she tell you to roll in the RA or use anything in particular with the dermaroller? |

No. In fact, the Dermaroller and Retin-A weren't mentioned in the same sentence. He recommended the Dermaroller when discussing the sun damage on my neck (for which I'm now going to try PRP).
In relation to Retin-A, he said it intensifies the results of any other products you might be using - I was discussing the stem cell products with him at the time. |

Well I heard back from the company. They do not provide samples (and from the tone of the email they aren't even going to think about that). I also made it clear I would be willing to buy samples, but that didn't seem to matter. They are looking at adding the ingredient list on to their website. |
