Can any of you suggest a cream/gel/serum that is good for lightening acne scars and/or hyperpigmentation?
I have light acne scars, nothing major, but I want them gone. Before I get a peel or a laser treatment, I'd like to see what other options i have.
Is the Skinceuticals Phyto gel good for this? I know it's what it's meant for, but I've read reviews that say it didn't do what it said. I've used hydroquinone that I purchased from a medspa and it didn't do a thing. |

Hi BellaKai,
I use two products that I have found highly effective at reducing pigmentation, Hyper-pigmentation etc and while it doesn't happen overnight unfortunately it has made my skin glow once again.
I use EmerginC Vitamin C+ Retinol Mask and Md Formulations Vit-a-Plus Illuminating Serum.
I found the mask helps to remove any unwanted dry skin, fade past marks and generally make my skin look amazing. It does take time, however incorporated with my Serum I found I saw results after 2 weeks.
The Illuminating Serum helps fade past marks and also helped with the overall tone and texture of my skin. I do continue to use both of these products and would never be without them.
I have used a few of the SkinCeuticals products including the Retexturing Activator and found this to be a wonderful product for coarse skin etc. I haven't used the Phyto Gel so I'm not sure if this works or not?? Perhaps try out some samples first to see what works best for you, as you don't want to spend a fortune on products that don't work or aren't right for you.  |

Thank you so much for both of your suggestions. I'm going to look into all of these things.
A friend gave me 5 sample vials of the Skinceuticals Phyto Gel. I'll come back and let you know how it works after a while. |

I'm glad your friend gave you some samples to try out BellaKai and I can't wait to hear how you get on. I hope you find something that works for you. |
