I am super curious to know!
The worst product I ever used was Proactiv. It dried the hell out of my face!
What's yours? |

I think there have been a few posts about best and worst lately?
But I guess a new one for 2011!
For me it is Benefit Eye con eye cream.
Burned my eye area and made it look like sandpaper.
I wrote a review on Sephora's website and they delete most of the bad reviews.
Also contacted Benefit and they told me "no one else ever has that problem".
-just bad service and makes me never shop at those 2 places again.
That's ok cuz EDS and another store have great service.
Sally Hansen nail polish dryer, ruined my nail polish and mad it look like crap.
Have not used Sally Hansen in a few years though. |

That's not good customer service Ottawa Shopper. And Sephora really shouldn't be taking off bad reviews because it looks bad for them!! People want real reviews so then they can make an informative decision as to whether or not they want to purchase the product.
My worst product would have to be the Garnier Double Action Mask and Scrub. It said to leave it on for 10 minutes, however I only had it on for 2 minutes and had to remove it quick smart because it was burning. When I removed it, it had burnt my face and it blistered quite severally. I contacted the company and they were really good about it and sent me out some products and took what I said on-board. I still don't know if I would ever use there products again, as I'm a little scared that something else may happen. It just goes to show that not all products are created for all skin types and companies that claim some products are need to re-evaluate this. |

Never had a product make my skin worse..my biggest complaint would be $$$ for ineffective products.
I think creams claiming to prevent neck sag or to give a neck lift were the biggest waste of money for me. However...retin A, neck exercises and now copper peptides seem to help.
I also disliked the IPL treatments I received at Sona Medspa...they made my hyperpigmentation worse...and they even added two extra treatments and it got worse. |

Luckily I have never tried a prodcut that makes my skin worst, but only ineffective and became a waste of money... |

The Wonderbar was the worst product I have ever tried. It dried out my skin horribly and it took months to get my skin back to normal. Otherwise, I have just wasted a ton of money on useless products! |

Ditto, Rileygirl (Happy New Year by the way). Also spent way too much on useless gadgets! |

Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Anti-wrinkle Anti-blemish lotion SPF 15. Great name, huh? It turns out that it has 8% AHA as advertised, but no UVA protection! I used it for several months about a year ago, and I'm still angry at Neutrogena and the FDA for letting me believe that it was safe to use during the day. Fortunately it was winter, because otherwise...
On the other hand, once I stopped using this on my face, it turned out to be terrific in keeping my backside and feet silky smooth! |

And for Sephora, it seems that for their Facebook page they have banned a few people that had posted not positive things.
-I few months ago I posted that I was dissapointed that Sephora in Canada- they never have bonus gifts and freebies (except the birthday one) and that the new Sephora in the mall near me they were in the same mall as a national drugstore chain that has tons of freebies and it would be nice if Sephora did the same or similar.
After posting that I can't even post anything on their facebook page or forum (not that I really care anyways).
All I can think now is that they are great at alienating some customers and I'll spend my money where it is more welcome.
For products I had a problem with, there was a Clean and Clear vitamin C eye cream that is now discontinued.
The cream was too strong for my eye area- but Johnson & Johnson was very good with customer service.
They emailed me saying I had to give them lot # and upc code and that they had to fill out a report with health canada or something for adverse reactions.
I thought that was a bit much....but not a big deal.
They were very helpful when I called them with the info and they sent me a couple of replacement coupons! |
