Good evening ladies and gentlemen
I have two samples of the Decleor Hydra Floral Intensive Gentle Hydrating Mask that I have collected from previous EDS orders. I wanted a nice moisturising mask tonight and thought I'd give this one a go.
I have so far liked every Decleor product I've tried but this one is definitely not for me. I'm hesitant to give this a 'thumbs down' because my main gripe with this product is the fake floral fragrance which is subtle but borders on being sickly sweet. To me the Valmont Renewing Pack has a very subtle floral fragrance but it's a NICE one. The Decleor mask.... well I simply can't stand the smell.
I gave it 10 minutes to work its magic even though I was really tempted to wash it off early. I rinsed it off with water (not with cotton pads soaked in toner as stated in the instructions). That might be the reason why it didn't really leave my face feeling as moisturised as other moisturising masks do. Even after I rinsed it off I could still smell it for quite a while (it's a faint smell but one that for some reason I really don't like). I guess I should have predicted this; after all it is called Hydra FLORAL.
But while my experience with it has been less than positive I don't want to write it off purely based on my disliking the smell. I'm sure there are people out there who think the smell is great. I will give the other sample to my mum and see what she thinks of it (I'll get back to you ).
Now about the moisturisation bit. This mask didn't leave my face feeling like I just put on a 'intensive hydrating mask'. You know that nice plump feeling your skin gets after being given a nice hydration treat? I didn't get any of that with this mask.
Sample before you buy!

ps. If you have used this mask I'd love to hear what your results with it were.... |

(I have meant to place a post here at this one a long time ago, but time flies!!) OK -I liked this mask! I have tried it twice (as samples) and I liked it a lot both times. In fact, I think I'll get this one when I am out of the hydrating mask I am currently using (Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Mask). I found the Decleor to be a bit richer than the Dermalogica, but I agree with you on one thing Mabsy, the Decleor doesn't leave the skin plumped up like other moisturizing masks I have tried, but then that doesn't happen with the Dermalogica mask either. Instead you get a very clean, moist feeling. The Decleor mask tingled a bit on my skin, but only in a very pleasant degree.
My nose drank this mask! I had to apply several times on my nose, as the product just disappeared into the skin. My nose was VERY shiny after this treatment, but happy, I think
I didn't find the smell disgusting by the way, as I recall, to me it was a fresh and typical Decleor skincare-smell.
So all in all, I was very pleased with this one, although I would like to find a mask that moisturizes a bit more. That said, I am switching to this from Dermalogica if I don't find anything better by then. |

Hi Gals!
I love it when EDS includes the Decleor mask in my packages. Why? Cuz I LOVE the smell. As you know, I'm not really keen on Decleor products -- I'm a "Yonka Girl" and I think I'll stay that way for the time being. The other products I've used from Decleor haven't been all that impressive -- but I really really like the Gentle Hydrating Mask!
Oh wait . . . okay, the one EDS sends me is called Regulating Purifying Mask -- so perhaps that's different from the one you guys are using. In any case, I like my mask -- one, it smells AWESOME. I keep it on longer just to get the aromatherapy effect. I must say, however, that the mask doesn't really DO anything for my skin. I've used it several times due to the frequency of my packages, but honestly, I use it for the SMELL, not the result ha ha ha.
I, personally, prefer PTR masks (which really helps get rids of pimples when they're just about to sprout). I am also starting a regular regime of the Yonka masks (surprise, surprise). The Decleor mask is still a nice treat here and there just for the smell. |

Looks like I'm the only one with an odd reaction to the smell of this mask. It's strange because I love Decleor products and their smells but this one I just can't stand I'm not going to argue with my nose though
At the moment I'm finishing up Clinique Mositure Surge as a mask. It's a gel cream and it leaves my skin silky soft and all plumped up. After that I'm going to try the DDF gel hydrating mask I think
Glad this works for you ladies!

You see, I have totaly different experiences with this product. My skin likes it! Maybe perfume isn't the best for everybody but 'de gustibus non disputandum est'. It's the only cream/mask that can make your skin rejuvenated in only half an hour. When I catch a cold my skin peels off around my nose and mouth so if I have to go somewhere and don't want people to be scared of my appearance I use this mask on those areas. Every half hour I put on a little bit more of this mask and after 3 hours my skin is like new. I often combine it with some casual cream like NIVEA Soft and results are surprisingly good. In fact, I don't know if I had such a good experience with any other product - ever.
It's worth trying. Please try it this way and then see if the results are better than the last time. Put on Decleor Hydra Floral Masque and wait for 20-30 min. Then don't rinse it. Just remove excess with cottonwool and apply your everyday cream (you usually use) on your face.
I belive you'll find it more useful that way. |

I heard an interesting tip on QVC the other day. They suggested mixing your Decleor Hydra Floral cream with the Decleor Prolagene to make a moisturising and firming mask. Haven't tried it yet but when I've used up my other masks I will give it a try. |

Thank you for the suggestion mkucanda, and also welcome to the forum! I don't think I have any samples of this left but if I do I will definitely give it a go with your instructions. |

I was not big on this mask until I moved to Southern California. In the midwest it was just too rich for my skin. Here, it saves it. I find that I need this mask like none of my other masks. I have yet to try others because I was so happy with the Decleor Mask. I love the smell and how you can really see the skin drinking it up. |
