I've read all these ravings about the Clarisonic brush, and I am almost almost to place an order. Shock
Before I buy it, I want to hear more opinions about this Clarisonic brush. Is it something that you really cannot get from a just a simple good facial cleaning?

I don't have much problem with my skin, small pore, no clogged pores, rarely have some break-outs. Is this Clarisonic brush something I would need? I am hoping to get some "experts" opinions. I would especially love to hear people not seeing great results. (I really have to hear this, so I can ease my urge Brick wall )

Same here. I would love to try it, but I am afraid it will make my broken caps worse.

I really don't know. I am afraid of broken caps & breaking out. Also my routine is long enough already. So, I remain on the fence.

Me too. I would love to try it, but I just can't seem to justify the price tag. And then the brush head needs changing as well.

I'm thinking it should definitely help with my oily skin, which leads to lots of clogged pores, and hence pimples. But I'm also worried that it may make me break out more since I have pretty sensitive skin. Hence, I'm going to sit on the fence.

I recently bought the Clarisonic Plus. It seems to help with getting rid of the peeling from Retin-A.

I do not know why everyone in North America doesn't take advantage of the 30 day free trial. If only other products offered that.

I use a stepdown transformer to convert mine to 240 v. It works very well.

I bought the Mia and I live in Australia. You just need to buy a converter for the socket in the wall and it works just fine.

I was afraid that this was going to make me break out more but it is so gentle but still effective in cleaning the face. It uses more physical methods of cleaning the face over chemical.

I have been using my brush for 1-2 minutes, twice a day for about 5 months now and I have only just had to change the brush head. Then again, I did get the delicate one and that is to be expected. I have graduated to the sensitive one and love it.

My skin is less oily, has less breakouts and less clogged pores. Yes, I have also had to use antibiotic therapy but I believe 100% that the brush has helped my skin to slough away like it's supposed to to reveal a different, better quality of skin.

Highly highly highly recommended!

I think that if you had normal skin that doesn't really have any issues or breakouts, you wouldn't notice much of a change. This brush is fantastic for congested types of skin.

I tried all different methods of giving my skin a real good clean. I found that acne washes just made the problem worse because it just dried out my skin more so my skin overproduced acne and made it worse. Hence my previous statement of physical and natural being better than chemical. I tried all sorts of creams, gels, scrubs, serums, etc but none of them have come close to the effects of the Clarisonic. I think my skin was just too congested and too stressed to receive the benefits of the products.

My skin also was worse and much more sensitive in winter due to all of the heating going on that dried out that skin and you guessed it, made more pimples! I found that using a milk cleanser really helped and the SOthys Purifying Cleanser is a great emoliant that binds to oil, effectively cleaning the face with the brush. I found that their toner did not do a good job of removing the remnants of the milk. That also leads to more pimples. Talk about sensitive, tempramental skin!

Give it a go, if all else fails, you could always try reselling it on ebay.

hi everyone,

i have 6 clarisonics... mia, classic, 2 plus, and 2 pros.

i have extremely dry and sensitive skin (face)but i love the clarisonics. for my face i have to use the lowest speed and just a short cleansing routine with this gadget. even a quick cleaning with the clarisonic is enough... it gently exfoliates and cleans your skin like no other.. if you have any acne marks, even little one from black head extractions, dull skin, uneven skin, dry patches... this gadget is absolutely wonderful!!

i find that it evens out skin tone... while gentle it gets rid of ance scars and discolouration. i can't say enough...keeps your skin radiant and glowing... so healthy looking.

and it is multifuncional... this gives a glorious clean and exfoliation to the neck and chest. i love it!

i find that it is sooo different from hand exfoliation or product exfoliation. the exfoliation from the clarisonic is refined.

i use it not only for face but for body. this is a product that i don't hestitate to recommend.

I'm probably the only person in the universe who hated the Clarisonic. It made my skin look rough. I have a galvanic gadget that does a much better job of deep cleaning than the clarisonic did for me. In fact, I think the galvanic gadget could be my all-time favorite, even beating out the LED. I need to get back to using it more often. My skin looks so smooth when I finish.

Skippie,

I have been on the fence about the Clairsonic! Please tell more about yours, name? Where did you find it? A link? Sorry so full of questions but since I haven't taken the plunge I would love to compare to others out there! Smile

TIA

DM,

I bought the Prolight Ultrasound/Galvanic Device. The website is: http://www.prolightaesthetics.com/catalog/item/6603459/6528796.htm

Everytime I use it, I wonder why I don't use it more often. It does more to make my face look better than anything else I use.

Thanks Skippie!

That looks and sounds like a great product! You have piqued my interest, if I am reading correctly (skimmed the site quickly) you use this with any serum to enhance penetration as well? Is that how you use it, I see it mentioned exfoliation first and then using the device! Now I am wondering if my Iskin with rounded beads to exfoliate used first and this after would be a great way to go!

This device also piqued my interest for product penetration since I've decided not to go the dermaroller route (at least for now).

Have you found an increase in skin firmness & thickness since using it? TIA

DM and brierrose,

I haven't used it for product penetration at all. I'm using it with positive and negative gels for cleansing and it's wonderful for that. Because I have somewhat sensitive skin, I've been afraid to push anything into my skin. I really don't use it enough to have seen long term firming from it, but the short term firming is great - not only immediately afterwards but the next day as well. I've only been using it once a week, but I've decided to alternate days with the LED now.

Thanks Skippie,

For your quick response and the information! Smile It sounds like you are very happy with it! For me I wouldn't be concerned about the penatration issue with most actives as I have anything but sensitive skin!
Thanks again, you are always right there with answers and it's very much appreciated! Smile

I have used mine for a long time.I got it because I'm lazy and thought it was a better way to clean the face, neck, and chest area.I used it twice aday and it has improved those area. I never thought much about product penetration but it might work well for that also.I use it and than the LED pre treatment than AALS.I also used it when I was on Obagi nuderm and it really helped with the peelies.Still twice aday everyday for me.

Leggy,
I don't mean to take this off topic so I am just going to ask are you talking about the Pro light that Skippie has or the clarisonic? The more input the better! Smile

Nope... I definitely wouldn't buy it. You can find other means of cleaning and exfoliating the skin that wouldn't put a dent in your budget. You asked so that's my humble opinion. Very Happy

I'm a huge fan of the clarsonic ...I consider it my top beauty tool. It exfoliates my face and I look younger since using it. ..also, so great when using retin a..you don't even realize you are peeling. I found this out..when I didn't have it for a few days on a trip..and all of a sudden I could see that peeling skin around my mouth and chin.
Also, I use the brush for sensitive skin..the normal one is too tough on my skin.

I put the clarsonic up there with retin a and copper peptides as a daily beauty routine.
