Hello,
I recently ordered a small bottle of 10% Retinoic acid solution and am looking to formulate what would be the equivalent to a 0.05% Tretinoin cream.
I would like to make a 50ml (end product) so how many mills of the retinoic acid will be needed to add to how many mills of the base cream?
Also what kind of base would be most suitable for the retinoic acid solution?
I have always received great advice from the fantastic members here at essential day spa forum any help would be greatly appreciated
Thankyou, everyone.
P.s. If anyone in Australia is interested in botox go here: http://antiageme.com.au/special-offers-anti-wrinkle-treatment-australia.php |

Please, please, please be careful with this stuff! There is good reason that Retin-A is available only by prescription in the U.S.
My guess is that probably the majority of members here are young women of child bearing age.. I'd hate to think that those who aren't fully aware of the risks associated with RA use, could so easily get their hands on such a 'raw' material for DIY purposes. |

Hello All,
I purchased the Retinoic Acid from a shop off eBay (the seller has extremely good feedback) mind you though had no idea how to formulate at all.
The retinoic acid 10% solution was purchased prior to receiving a script for Tretinoin. The doctor wouldn't give me a prescription, so I changed and now have the cream
I have been doing DIY forever and understand about all the side affects. It seems however that Retinoic acid is stronger than retinol according to "Smart Skincare" so is therefore the preferred choice for me. I am still so confused when it comes to formulating a products with 0.05% in it though (which is the strength i am using at the moment) ideas? ![Idea](images/smiles/idea.gif) |
