Hi All! I was just wondering, what is the best product you have used for the neck & decollete? I'm having issues with some horizontal lines and I admit this is an area I don't pay much attention to. I just use whatever I use on my face on my neck and completely ignore the decollete. TIA |

Skin Biology's TriReduction cream has smoothed out the 3 sleep creases I had on my decolletage. |

How about Retin A? I use it on my neck and it helps with the horizontal lines. Also, sleeping on the flat pillow helps.

I agree RussianSunshine, as I mix a small amount of Retin A and Vitamin C Serum with my regular Body Moisturiser and apply this on a daily basis and have seen incredible results. The skin on my Decollete' was starting to become crepey with fine lines etc, however since mixing Retin A and Vitamin C Serum with my Body Moisturiser I have seen a complete turnaround. I also use it on dryer areas of my body like elbows, knees etc and these areas have also seen a dramatic improvement. |

I'm going to have to start doing this. I've always taken the skin on my body for granted as being in good shape, but I think its time to look after my neck and decollete.
...I had a little scare this morning looking down at it ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

It is scary LoriA, as I started adding Retinol and Vitamin C to my Body Moisturiser when one day I was wearing a low cut top and looked at my face which was smooth and lovely, then I looked at the skin on my Decollete' and almost screamed when it didn't look it's best or even match the skin on my face.
Well it wasn't that bad, however I do find that I don't want to be one of those women who have lovely smooth skin on there face and then the telltale sign of your age can be seen on your body!!
Also I apply this and use it on my entire body and another area we may neglect is our Bottom, yes our Bottom and I must say I did neglect this area until I also looked in a full length mirror and was very shocked, however with care and persistence this area looks great again and I'm not embarrassed to wear my bikini or bathers now.
I also like to gently exfoliate my body on a weekly basis to keep my skin in tip top condition and my body moisturiser also contains AHA's to rid my body of any dead skin that may happen. Also adding Retinol and Vitamin C also helps with any pigmentation and sun damage you may have from sun exposure without wearing sunscreen which I was guilty of for many years, however I am religious with it now and my skin is looking amazing compared to what it was.
You may even say I felt the skin on my body was starting to resemble that of a serpent!!!

Divine Diva, what are the names of the products you are using on your body. I have been horrible about taking care of my body skin (neck and chest included). I just started using Skin Signals (copper peptides) on the neck/chest area, due to the good reports of several ladies here on the forum particularly on the neck/chest! |

Hi rileygirl, I use two Body Moisturisers, one for day time and one for night time. I also recommend using a sunscreen if you do add Retinol and Vitamin C to your moisturiser, as you can get burnt a lot easier.
For day time I use Amino Genesis Cocoon Total Body Rejuvenating Emollient. You can buy this at EDS and I just realized it is so much cheaper here than what I was paying in Australia, bargain! Also this helps with Eczema, Dermatitis etc and this has really helped out my skin immensely.
For night time I use ASAP Revitalising Body Moist. This is an Australian Brand and for 200ml I pay between $21-$27 depending where I buy it from. This contains AHA's, Citrus Oils and Green Tea which leaves my skin lovely and soft. I can post a link if your interested in looking into this, as I'm not sure if you can buy this in America or Canada, however where I buy it from ship OS but I'm not sure of the prices I can find out and post back if you live OS.
The Serums I add to my Body Moisturiser only at night are:
Medik8 Retinol 3 Tr
Medik8 C-Tetera
These are a natural Skin Care line and offer results without irritation, which is why I use them on my body because I can sometimes suffer from Eczema, however since using these combined with the Amino Genesis, I haven't had one inch of Eczema on my body.
I'm not sure if they sell these OS, however I buy these from the same place I buy my ASAP. I do find since using a Retinol and Vitamin C serum in my Body Moisturiser of a night my skin looks so fresh and smooth, especially on my Decollete' and Bottom area, as well as my knees and other dry spots. |

Do post back about how you get on with using Retinol in your body moisturiser if you decide to.
Also would love to hear how your finding the Skin Signals with the Copper Peptides, as I have never used any products on my body that contain Copper Peptides and would love to know how your skin looks after using these.
Also if you have trouble locating those products post back and I will help you out. |

Never DarkMoon, as I value your advice and love reading your posts as there very helpful.
You can use any Vitamin C you have and add that to your Body Moisturiser, however I use this because it doesn't irritate the skin on my body. I don't use it on my face, as I use a powdered Vitamin C that I made, however when I tried to use it in my Body Moisturiser it irritated my skin for some reason??
Oh my god!! I don't pay that much for mine here in Australia and that is quite extraordinary!! I only pay $23 Aus dollars for mine so it is quite cost effective for me and the best part is it lasts me forever and doesn't irritate as some have in the past that I have tried. Perhaps it's the Jojoba Oil that my skin loves?? Who knows, however it works so I don't question why this works and others don't. Maybe my skin is just silly and insane on my body!! |

I make my own Tetra C in oil base to use on both face and body 25g of the Tetra only costs about 25-27 USD and makes a ton of serums! I was just shocked at the price tag for the ingredients!
You get a great price down under, I can only find it in Australia and the UK and prices are high! I think I will stick to mixing up my homemade version!
I also make LAA serum for the face and wherever, my skin is so tolerant!
I did notice their retinol is time released, very interesting, but too costly for me in the US? I may check and do more digging to see if there is a more reasonable seller?
You are too sweet, glad you aren't offended! I tend to dissect products.
Your posts are a joy to read, always informative, fun, and colorful!
BTW I love purple. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

The reason I get mine so cheap is a friend owns a salon and the reps and companies send out sample kits and smaller sizes to try out on clients and because she knows I use it and don't really want to pay $40-$65 (which I would be paying if I purchased from elsewhere) So she sells me the sample kits cheaper when she has quite a few and even gives me extra when she feels a little festive!! lol
I don't expect her to give it to me for nothing so I do like to pay something for it so I don't feel like I'm using her for it. Which I'm not.
It takes a lot to offend me DarkMoon so don't worry about that, however if someone was personally attacking me then naturally we would all get offended. Forums are a place where everyone has there own opinions and we all have to respect that and if some people get offended over others opinions then I do believe they shouldn't be on a Forum. This is only my opinion so please no one get offended with me, as I'm just speaking generally.
Thank-you I do try and give my opinion and advice where I can and I do hope people like my posts. I love purple also, it's my favourite colour, can't you tell. lol
See you are a wealth of knowledge, as now that I know I can make it myself I think I may just give it a go. See as they say 'You learn something new everyday' and I just did.
It is quite funny though that this brand costs you the earth in the US and other products like Md Formulations for example cost us the earth!!! That's why I do buy quite a few of my products OS, as I save so much money. Oh if you do come up with a recipe for the Retinol 3 tr then you must share the recipe, as I would love to try and make something like that myself. |

Oh do try it DarkMoon especially on your Decollete' and dryer areas like elbows and knees, as I have found it makes my skin so soft and smooth. Also it helps with any sun damage and pigmentation spots that you may have, which I did from early years in the sun without sunscreen until I got wise in my old age. |

I agre with you on so many points, I was raised to believe you may not agree but respect anothers right to their opinion there is no need to attack anyone!
We also see it time and time again what works like a dream for some may be a total nightmare for others, we are unique creatures after all.
I may find a way to "dupe" the retinol, but I know not how to make it time released!
I find it so strange how different the prices are between here and there on certain brands? Shipping can be a big issue too!
I would feel the same about taking advantage on a regular basis, you have a very generous friend to give you (or sell) the goodies!
If you saw my room (thrilled my parents) when 15, pale violet walls with deep purple trim! ![Shock](images/smiles/shock.gif) |

SkinSignals followed by Squalane with Rentinol in the AM, LacSal in PM. I've now added Cosmetic Skin Solutions vitamin C and E on half my face and neck in the PM and will see how it goes for the next few months when I compare the two sides.
I was always diligent over the years with sunscreen on my neck which made a big difference. |

Thanks for your responses everyone! I'm not a DIY girl so I ordered ZO Skin Health Oraser Body Emulsion from EDS to use on my decollete and lower neck, which are the problem areas for me. It has retinol and lactic acid as well as some ceramides so I'm hoping it will do the trick. The SkinBiology cream looks interesting too, I'll keep that in mind if the ZO doesn't work.
I recently read (or saw on TV I can't remember)an interview with Catherine Zeta Jones and she said that one of her beauty secrets is that she moisturizes head to toe morning and night, and I thought "I need to start doing that." I moisturize my body in the morning after I shower but not at night. So, I think I'm going to start lotioning up at night too. |

I don't buy any special products for decolletage and neck. I use the same Avene retinalhyde products, vitamin C, sunscreen and extra moisturizer in this brutal winter on my face and use "where needed".
I use the same treatment products on my hands also; especially the sunscreen. Hands are a giveaway to age. |
