I recently started using a serum with a hight level of dimethicone in it and so far it is working GREAT! However, when I told a collegue of mine about the dimethicone, she told me it wasn't good for my skin? Is this true and why? Thanks! |

Its fine. No reason not to use it unless your skin doesn't like it. |

I do not think dimethicone is bad for the skin, but it is not really doing anything good either. It can hold moisture in and protect the skin from chafing, but mostly it is cosmetic -- it improves the appearance of the skin while it is on, and it makes a good primer for makeup. |
