My good friend who is 57 has a very ruddy, rough complexion, due to acne scars. She has never done anything to improve her skin. I told her that I would ask the experts. So any advice here would be greatly appreciated. Products, treatments, etc.
thanks! |

I would definitely start with a skin care routine before trying any professional treatments (laser, peels, etc). I think starting with a vitamin C serum and/or retin-a/retinol would be a good place to start. |

I was going to suggest that she go to a dermatologist first. But I thought I could get some other suggestions that have worked for you all. |

The folks at makeupalley suggest the Dermalogica's microfoliant is very good at removing acne scars and hyperpigmentation. I use it, but I don't really see that much of a difference in my acne scars, but I definitely do not have any noticeable ones. I also don't use the microfoliant every day as suggested because I find that it is too harsh for my skin if I do. However, everyone is different so your friend may be able to tolerate such exfoliation. You can also try very concentrated AHA's that you can buy off eBay but you should always take caution when buying beauty products off that site. |

I would definitely suggest a visit to a derm or plastic surgeon for starters. While there are some amazing products that many attest to, I think your friend should schedule a consultation to help her determine a course of action that will suit her. |

I think your friend could use Celfix DNA Youth Recovery Facial Serum It could help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles I use it now.And I found it works well. |
