Ladies,
Can anyone recommend a light serum or moisturizer with nice ingredients (antioxidants or/and peptides) and light protection (SPF 15 or 20) ?
I checked EDS and makeupalley, but nothing caught my attention enough to spend money on it.
Thank you! |

you apply the antioxidant serum first than apply the moisturizer with SPF

If the Devita sunscreen is working for you, I would continue to use it. There is several good antioxidant serums that you can apply under your SS. |

I've been using radiance renewal serum from Omorovicza. What I like about this product is it is some kind of oil control serum, too. |

Estee Lauder Daywear for oily skin, SPF 15. It's lightweight and loaded with antioxs. The drawbacks are its shiny finish and unstabilized avobenzone (so I don't really trust it in more than 5-10 minutes of direct sun). |

I'll just add that the EL 15 didn't break me out, and was gentle enough for my poor skin when it was having trouble with tretinoin. It's also easy to powder down the shine. It was perfect for me from Nov to Jan, what with how little sun there was here in Paris. |

Skin Biology makes a copper peptide w/ a small amount of titanium dioxide in it for some protection. It's a very nice cream and absorbs easily. I top it w/ a MMU for extra protection for daily use and with a stronger SS for a 'fun in the sun' day.
It's call Protect and Restore Day Cover. Another one SB sells that is good for the body is the P&R Suntanning Lotion.
The antioxidants in these products offer some sun protection along with the TiO2 that is in it. There is not a lot of TiO2, which is preferable, IMO. I've used these for the last few summers and have had good protection from them. If I had a little pinkness from sunexposure at the end of the day, I would use a different CP (my normal one) and the pink would be gone by the next morning. |

Skin protection during summers and winters is very essential as the extreme hot and cold weather damages the skin. In winter your skin looks dull and becomes dry so much so that you find it troublesome to stretch your facial muscles. In winter you have to prevent your skin not only form the old wind but also from the winter sun. That means in winter also the sunrays can create several skin problems and you cannot ignore the sunlight thinking it feels nice on your skin during cold.
In winter mostly the sky is dull and we think that the sunrays are harmless during winter.
But it is not true, as the sun rays in winter can also cause skin burns and skin irritations.
In winter only 20% of the sunrays get blocked due to the clouds but remaining sunrays remain as harmful as they were during summer. You have not thought that the sun can be dangerous in winter too. But there are many examples of many people who have got sunburns and skin problems during winter.
An Ayurvedic product enriched with natural ingredients ideal for summer. It rejuvenates the skin, making it soft, lively and glowing. |
