Hi all. I have been doing Obagi for 1 1/2 yrs. now and it has made a world of difference in my skin. I am 47 yrs. old and for the first time in my life, have people asking me what I use on my skin because it looks like a teenagers. I was wondering if there is any other skincare line I can use on the alternating days now that would complement the Obagi? I do still have some freckles that I would like to see go away.
Thanks for any help |

You might want to check out the ZO products, which are Obagi's over-the-counter products. Be warned, they are Expensive! Congratulations, your results sound fabulous! |

Hey Rileygirl! I did try some of their products but it didn't seem to do anything for me. I was wondering about Karin Herzog or something like that? I didn't think it wss ok to keep using hydroquinone everyday like is in Obagi.
Thanks for any help and guidance

Hi Jennifer,
Are you still continuing with a maintenance plan using the Nuderm products?
I know there are concerns about the continuing use of HQ, but I'm only using Clear and Blender/retin a about two times a week. I definitely consider them a "staple" in my skin care regime!
I've also found that I don't really have a "need" for a lot of other skin care products, but I do like to try new things occasionally. I still can't find a really great eye cream!
I do like Ole Henriksen's Pure Perfection night creme. It contains glycolic and lactic acids. I think it gives my skin a little kick.
I'm also trying Janson Beckett's AlphaDerma CE and Facial Skin Prep -- can't tell if it's really making any difference.
Just recently, I've ordered a sample of Perricone's Cold Plasma. I haven't received it yet, but I'll see if its as half amazing as the claims are! |

Kims, I am using Obagi Clear/Blender and Retin A everyday. I didn't plan on doing that but just got into a ritual. My skin is still very dry if I don't us something on it. I also tried NIA 24 cream but it did nothing for me. I haven't found a great eye cream either. The skin on top of my eyes is starting to droop. Also, my skin is still very thin after almost 2 years of Obagi and Retin a. I thought it was supposed to get thicker...
Thanks for the suggestions!! |

What if you cut back on the Clear/Blender/retin a? That might make a difference in the dryness.
Also, I forgot to mention that if my skin does seem a bit dried out, I like to use jojoba oil.
I know you're not supposed to use moisturizers while on Nuderm, but I think we have a little more leeway on maintenance. |
