Has anyone tried Serrapeptase for the treatment of inflammatory conditions, such as cystitis, rheumatism, bronchitis, premature ageing, etc.
Or is it all too good to be true? |

Did you read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serratiopeptidase ? It's hard to say.
Anti-inflammatories with good research to back them up include olive oil, turmeric/curcuma, and zinc. Do you have a specific goal in mind? |

Hello Rockhugger and Dark Moon,
Many thanks to you both for getting back to me.
As I understand it, because Serrapeptase is made from silk worms it acts on inflammation by sort of *digesting* it, for want of a better word. This is supposed to make it more effective than plant remedies.
According to Robert Redfern -
www.Serrapeptase.info,
the reason the Japanese product was ineffective, was because it was not strong enough. |

Have you tried L-Glutamine powder mixed in small amount of water? I use and so does my friend with fibromylagia, works for pain and inflammation (and to heal GI tract etc.)!!!!!! |

What I did for inflammation (manifesting as life-long rosacea) is stop the refined white stuff -- grains, sugar -- and in less than one week in my skin is better: far less apparent rosacea (well, it's only been 6 days!) and much softer skin. I imagine my new diet is doing the same to my insides as it is to my outsides.
What do I eat? lots of Veggies, fruits, seafood, goat dairy. And I recently found unsweetened coconut milk in the health food store fridge. BOY is it GOOD!!!!!! (comes in a carton like milk does)This and my supplements (Calcium, Omega 3, D, Bs, the usual). |
