I've been lemming for a really great highlighter and am wondering if anyone has been able to make a successful version. I'm looking for something kind of pearly as opposed to sparkly--a"glow from within" type of look. I have my eye on NARS Albatross but can't get over the price tag. |

Elf's Gotta Glow is supposed to be a NA dupe. I haven't got it yet, so I can't say if its a good one. Its amazing how some of those super-cheap lines do the exact same thing though. There's also a NYX "highlight" blush apparently, which gives the same brightening effect. And a revlon eyeshadow in "copper canyon" which looks the same but is in a creme form.
I was going to get a Shiseido accentuating stick, but yeah, the price put me off. |

The rec is appreciated, but I am looking for a recipe or anyone who can share an experience making their own. What kind of ingredients would go into something like this? |

I have a book from Making Cosmetics http://www.makingcosmetics.com that has cosmetic recipes in it I will dig it out and see what I may have for a highlighter. Also on the site they have several free recipes so you might take a peek there. |
