I first started using this serum on Feb. 18. Unfortunately, less than a week later the flu hit our family and I wasn't able to use this serum daily which is why I'm just now reviewing it.
Nonetheless, after 2 consistent weeks of use I'm very pleased . I have been using this every morning, followed by the CSRx 12% C serum. I'm very pleased by the results. For me it has evened out my skin tone exceptionally. I did in the first few days experience a small amount of skin irritation (red skin) but I'm not sure if it was this or the fact that I was still taking flu medication. It only lasted about 30 minutes and since finishing my meds it hasn't been a problem at all. I'm very pleased by the overall clarity of my skin, which I can only attribute to this as it's the only new item to my skincare regime.
I have to give this product a huge thumbs up. I had previously tried SC C+AHA and it didn't do a thing for me. I had actually wondered if my skin couldn't tolerate AHA's as I'd always heard such wonderful reviews of AHA's but hadn't had success with them until now. I'd definately recommend this product for anyone wanting to ease into an AHA regime.
On a sidenote, which I am still not sure is because of this product, I always experience a mild breakout around my chin area during that time of month . This month I haven't had a single bump. For me, this is very rare. Since I got into my 30's (I'm 35 now) I have always had that monthly hormonal breakout, but not this month. I even waited a few days before reviewing this to see if I had the normal bumps, but it never happened. Hopefully, I can attribute the lack of these hormonal breakouts to this product.

The above post is a review of the following product available at EDS:

|
Cellular Skin Rx C + Firming Serum (30 ml / 1 oz)
This elegant serum, in a glycol base to improve penetration, acts as a powerful antioxidant protecting skin cells from free radical damage due to exposure to UVA and UVB radiation, smoke, and other environmental pollutants. C + Firming Serum stimulates collagen production to firm the skin, correct hyperpigmentation and prevent premature signs of aging.

Hi Steph!
Is the CSRx Age-Limit Refinishing Serum a Vitmin C Serum or an AHA Serum or both? And, do you now the percentages of the active ingredients in it? Thanks! |

The Age-Limit Advanced Refinishing Serum is a AHA serum. CsRx has separate a C+firming serum. Obviously the AHA helps the C+ Firming Serum to penetrate deeply into your skin. I feel bad talking too much about CsRx here in EDS since it's not one of their product . You can check out http://www.cellularskinrx.com
I have just made an order, can't wait to try them out.

I love cellularskin products. I am sure Magda and the wonderful ladies that brought us this forum do not mind you talking about a wonderful product that they do not stock. As far as I can tell only cellular distribute their own products I have never seen it for sale on any other site. Please don't bombard me with missiles if I am wrong. |

I have a bottle of this as well. I haven't had much chance to use it but so far I really like it overall. Obviously, I need to use it for a while longer but at the moment my patience with sticking to a particular item of skincare seems to be a bit lacking...
ETA: I have seen another website sell what appears to be this very product (but under their own name) and they sell it for about $90US from what I remember |

Well, they don't sell it as the same product, it is another brand. It is clear though that this product is sourced from the same manufacturer though. |

You sound like me-smoking and drinking coffee in front of the computer looking for ways to improve my skin I should hit myself!!
This product sounds great-but what are the advantages of using this as opposed to a regular glycolic product? Also, is the texture liquid enough so it can be worn during the day along with vit. c sunblock...yada yada yada.... |

Marina - this is *very* liquidy so there won't be any problems there. In terms of advantages, it also contains Arginine and a white tea extract (super antioxidant) but I'm not sure in what concentrations.
*Edited because I said "Argireline" instead of Arginine... |

I've been using this product for several months. Does anyone else have trouble with "burning?" It doesn't seem to irritate my skin (and I do have sensitive skin) but it is very uncomfortable until I get some moisturizer slapped on top...... |

Deacon - I don't have sensitive skin but I had some mild stinging the first few times I used it. This is not unusual with AHA products though and my skin got used to it quickly. I haven't had any burning sensation from this at all. I would say that this is your skin's sensitivity to one of the ingredients (AHAs?). |

I have no problems with burning and it is fantastic under makeup as well. I am totally imressed with this stuff, the only bad thing is it squirts out way too much and I keep forgetting to only do a half pump!

PS Loops I have re-quit the fags, but it is hard!

I have used this pretty much full time for a couple of years & I do like it alot. It is very "liquidy", easy to apply & doesn't feel as though it's an extra layer of product. Just start slowly because it's a potent serum that even my oily skin can sometimes get patchy & a bit over dry.
BTW - It is on EDS now along with the rest of the CellularSkin line |

RuthMarion,
Thank you for your reply. Do you use it in the morning or evening? |

Sound it so great!
I am under Rocaautan treatment. (Pardon for my speeling)
Can I use it?
Someone said, I could not use any peeling product now.
I have to finish my acne treatment about 3 months, then I can use it. |

Sorry for the less than prompt response
I use the CellularSkin RX at different times. Sometimes am sometimes pm. It depends on what other products I layer that particular day . Or even if I just forget in the morning, then I use it at night!
(Note:I'm really liking Candy's line because it's so light (as is the CellularSkin RX)& not like piling a bunch of heavy stuff on my face (although at night I do anyway - gotta keep that old age clock from ticking)). Anyway, back on topic.....
I have rosacea too & when it flares up I avoid the ruddy zone - the same if it dries my cheeks. If I were just starting I would go maybe every other night & not the morning to see if you react. Also a little bit goes a long way so it's really easy to overdo. Maybe pat it on oily areas to start?
Good luck! |

I placed my order with EDS after reading a lot of good reviews for this product.
I'm so pleased with my decision. Love the product (except the smell!!). It really improves my skin texture. So far I haven't experienced any negative effect nor irritation on my dry skin. You just need a few drops to cover your face.
I'd recommend for those who'd like to start using Vit C serum. |

I used this product about a year ago for several months with good results. I stopped using it because at the time I was constantly lured by the appeal of other products. However, it is a great serum that kept my somewhat oily, mature skin looking even and toned. Right now, I am using Murad's Night Reform which I also really like. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this product. |
