Does anyone have tips on how to keep makeup brushes in good condition?
Sorry if there's already been a topic. I searched, but couldn't find any.. unless I'm blind lol |

My facial cleanser leaves no residue, so I use that to wash my brushes. |

Dr Bronners castille is a grease cutter and the one I use for hairbrushes and combs too. |

I'm sure all the links provided are great, but on the quick here is how I keep mine clean:
1. If I just want to wipe off pigment, or give a very superficial sanitizing, I use brush cleaning wipes (cheapo sally brand though I'm sure there's tons others). I think some people use facial wipes for this too.
2. For a wash, I use plain baby shampoo and put them in an upright position to air dry. |

I thought if you put in an upright position, the water can run into "furule" (?) and loosen glue that holds bristles together. (I think furule is the clamped metal part of brush that holds all of the hairs.) |

Does anyone use conditioner on brushes to keep them soft? I have some natural hair brushes and they seem to be getting rougher....? |

If you watch the video that havana8 posted, they use olive oil to condition the hair. I'm sure you can use a conditioner too though |

Dishwashing liquid or my body wash. Nothing fancy needed. I've had my brushes for years. |

Very good point. It hasn't badly effected my brushes with synthetic hair (which is most), but maybe this is why my ones with real hair stink?! |

Putting it upright also causes it to fray to the sides, depending on your brush |

may be i will try the Eminence brush cleaser later.
I found MAC brush cleanser is the cheapest, ok smell, easy to use !!! |
