Hello, I found this forum while reading about the OCM and loved it. So much great advice
I have a really difficult time with shaving and ingrown hairs on my legs. A few hours after shaving, I can see all the hairs trying to pop through the skin, making almost every hair follicle red. Sometimes they break through, but often turn into a rashes, and since I have hyper pigmentation, leave dark spots all over.
After much research, I've been using the following regime:
dry brushing 2x day
DIY tendskin (90% alcohol, witch hazel, aspirin) 2x day
AmLactin lotion 2x day
coconut oil (for dark spots) 1x day
This regime has helped decrease the number of ingrown hairs, but there is still a fair amount left on the front of my legs.
I just don't know what else to do.. all I want is to be able to wear skirts this spring worry free. |

are you sure they are ingrown hairs? It may be an allergic reaction....i am allergic to something in most shaving creams....whenever I'd shave my legs they would turn my legs all bumpy and itchy. Perhaps use soap instead of shaving cream...or opt of wax instead of shave |
