I live in FL and have combo skin, so by the end of the day my makeup is gone. I use Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil to help, but during the summer it does not totally do the job for me. So I was wondering if anyone has tried Model In A Bottle and how does it compare? |

I also would like to know about this product.
They have formula for sensitive skin. Here is what I found about product:

Hopefully we will hear from someone who use it. |

I've tried it and think it's an OK product. I personally prefer Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray. It works better for me and has alot more technology in it than Model in a Bottle. Skindinavia keeps my makeup set all day and I don't need to touch up at all. They have many different formulas now. I use Cool Flash or the Original Finishing Spray. I usually buy mine at skinstore.com when they have their 20% off sales.

I'm sure others who love Model in a Bottle will see this thread soon. |

Keli13,
Thanks for the skindinavia website. I have very oily skin (even with using Obagi) and the mist for oily skin is definitely something I want to try! Thanks! |

Kims, I hope it works as good for you as it does me. I've been using it for about 1 1/2 years now and don't go a day without!! |

I'm going to a 2 day event this weekend, complete with camping out, in an Orchard in hot weather. I ordered Model in a Bottle last Wednesday, it arrived Friday. It kept my makeup on ALL day Saturday (it was hot)until I washed it off before bedtime. However, the strong scent gave me a headache(I can't stand perfume or hairspray), so I sent an email to the website asking how I could exchange it for the unscented sensitive skin formula. I sent the email Monday, and just now, 2 days later, the owner of the company, Jill, personally called me, talked a bit about my skin type, and said she'd ship me out the sesitive skin product at no charge and that I could keep the first order. I can't think when I've ever received customer service like that. Renews my faith in mankind. Womankind. And I'll have it by this Friday, in time for the swelterfest. Again, let me stress...this product puts things like Urban Decay's makeup fixative, and everything else I've tried, to shame. |

This model in a bottle product... it's a finishing spray to make whatever foundation you use last longer, not an actual spray foundation itself, correct?
I've heard a few of my friends talk about but never paid that much attention to it... |

I live in Palm Beach county Florida so hot and hotter! I have used Bare Minerals, (using up my fav. Aromaleigh now out of business) anyway have you tried a dusting of the mineral veil before applying any MMU and then topping off with the mineral veil last also, this helps keep your MMU in place and oil free longer. |

Correct. And to answer another question, I've used it over Jane Iredale mineral makeup, and it works great. Mineral veil doesn't last this long. |

I use Skindinavia too and I think its a great makeup setter !! last summer I went to Dubai for holiday and you know its summer is famous for humidity and escalating temperatures. The Skindinavia finishing spray saved my makeup from melting. I used to spray it once right after I apply my foundation and then again after I finish with the eye makeup
They recently introduced a foundation primer too..has anybody try it yet??? |

I've never tried Skindinavia but I've used Model in a Bottle a few times and I thought it worked pretty well. I've only used it for special occasions like weddings and my makeup stayed on all day.
I have really oily skin and when oil appears, my makeup seems to slip right off. I still get oily with Model in a Bottle but not as quickly and even when I do, my makeup still stays put.
I don't use it all the time because I can't stand the smell. Also, the spray doesn't work very well. The mist isn't fine enough and your face gets pretty wet. It also leaves your skin feeling a little sticky. |

hhm does it cause clog pores or breakouts? I wonder if it's ok to use daily or just a one-time thing for the big event and such |

Hey, i had the same problem with the smell (Elderly lady hairspray, anyone?). If you ever reorder, order the sensitive skin formulation. At first, it only smells like very light real lavender, then dissipates immediately. And it works just as well. I spent the Easter weekend camping after a big dinner for 50 outside, in about 80-85 degree weather, and my makeup was still in place the next morning. |

Yes...it totally smells like old lady hairspray! Spot on! Thanks for the tip, Echobaby. I'll try the one for sensitive skin next time. |

I had the same concerns Stardustdy. I don't know if Model in a Bottle clogs pores but my skin is prone to breakouts so I limit it to special occasions. |

I use Urban Decays Up All Nighter spray which is made by Skindinavia. I have stage Iv Cancer and take medication that caused me to go into menopause early and I have horrible hot flashes that come and go throughout the day. This spray has really helped my makeup stay put throughout the day and I don't know what I'd do without it! |
