May be an odd question but wondering with regard to things like Vit C and Copper peptides and AHA's and anything else anyone can think of-how long do they take to sink in and do their job beofre it's safe to wash off?
I'm particularly interested in my Vit C( I make the homemade serum with veg glycerin , l-ascorbic acid and distilled water). Problem is I don't particularly like the way it makes my skin smell like yeast or something so is it ok to wash it off a few hours later -has it done it's thing by then or will that diminish it's benefits?? |

I don't think there is a set time, especially when everyone's skin is different and so absorbs differently. You should just wait until it dries up before applying the next layer |

I asked my pharmacist about this when I started on tretinion .05. He told me most of the good work was over in about 20 minutes. Hope this helps, but for specific questions I have always found that if you phone an all night pharmacy quite late or early when they are not busy, they are very good about looking up research. I live in Canada and use Shoppers Drug Mart. |
