Have to agree on that, just have to be on guard for the next extremist waiting to fill his shoes.....but for now
A note to any and all Muslims we realize the terrorists are the few, and aren't following what the religion teaches in anyway! |

I agree Ladies some good news.
I have to agree also DarkMoon that terrorists are in a league of there own and in no way shape or form should this reflect on the Muslim community that obviously don't condone this type of behavior. |

nice one barack obama!!
Lets hope the rest of the arab world is too preoccupied with their own insurrections to provide any succour to his supporters.
Watch out though there may be some reaction to this, however for now,
Yes good news!!! |

Wow, I feel so many things, elation, relief and even some tears too! Hopefully, this news has brought some closure to the families of the victims of the 9-11 attacks, if that is possible. And, most of all I want to thank our soldiers!

I agree. There is nothing to celebrate. He has 20 children and God knows how may relatives and followers. It would be more wise not to show so much excitement about his death, as terrorism is not defeated yet. |

@MystyPines
the white house had no evidence and never charged bin laden with involvement in 9/11.
anyway, people share 99.9% DNA. accurate testing takes more than 1 night. pics or it didn't happen.
yeah, celebrating a death is disturbing even if the guy was evil. it probably just opens the door a little wider for terrorism. |

Look I am not going to debate my opinion over your opinion, but why do you have make my feelings into a negative thing? I work in New York City and live on the border. I have lost a boss (attorney) who worked for Cantor Fitzgerald (104th floor of Towers) who died on Sept. 11. So please, I would appreciate if you would respect my feelings. |

Osama Bin Laden may have been the name and face of terrorism - but there are thousands more nameless and faceless people all bent on death and destruction.
My daughter was sitting in a cafe in Morocco which was next door to the one that got blown up a few days ago. She left 30 mins before the bomb went off.
Unless suicide bombing stops, any of us could be a victim at any time. |

how right you are, what a shock for your daughter!
I suppose though having bin laden dead gives a sense of justice and maybe closure, even though with him dead it is like chopping off the head of the hydra, there are what 6 heads left ! |

MystyPines,
You are not the 1st person to misunderstand me online. It happens so much, I think it might be a handicap. Only the first sentence, neither positive nor negative and lacking any hope for debate, was meant for you. Praising US soldiers is a positive thing, and I would never dis that. And nothing in your post made me think you were reveling in Osama's death. But maybe I was wrong? heheh. j/k
The rest of it was my own opinion. Also neutral, but maybe crazy and slightly influenced by reading conspiracy theories for entertainment.
ps I'm sorry for your loss. |

Whenever I read a Bin Laden story, the song from The Wizard of Oz plays in my head:
Ding dong the witch is dead.
Which old witch?
The wicked witch!

Keliu, how scary for your daughter (and you probably!). Was she shaken up being so close to where the bomb went off?
I agree, we are no where near done with the fight on terrorism, unfortunately. |

Keliu, That must have shaken your daughter and you to your core, sorry that happened and very glad she was not there when it happened.
My theory, terrorists/fanatics will always be with us sadly. We can't win a "war" against terrorism, what we must do is protect ourselves as best as possible and be vigilant looking for signs of terrorist activity. What we can not ever do is become complacent in feeling attempts won't be made. |

I look at this as the same way many looked at the first men that landed on the moon. One Giant step for man kind! It had to happen and now we carry on to the next step. May you all have peace and find a place in your hearts for your pain to rest. |

She was extremely shaken up - she left for Europe the next day. I keep thinking of the parents of the young British man who was killed - that could of so easily have been me.
Whilst the concept of becoming a suicide bomber is continued to be "revered" - it will never end. |

I can only imagine how frightening that must have been. I am glad she is safe. |

I've heard of it. It was in Pakistan where Bin Laden was killed during the encounter with the US troops. I'm glad that the leader of the group who had made lots of lives died in the World Trade Center Tragedy. |
