Bulkactives has some Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate listed but it's out of stock. The only other one I can find is on makingcosmetics. Does anyone know of any other places that have licorice extract?  |

Aren't there challenges involved with adding licorice to beauty products?
I hear that it's often hard to dissolve and that it has to be at the right pH. Are these true? |

I have not tried it yet, so many yummy things and just so much skin, I do believe Kassy has used it, so hopefully she can weigh in on the best way! |

I've had no problems with mine, and have used it in a few products across a broad pH range.

VeronicaM, you just have to learn about the solubility and PH etc. of different ingredients and then you'll know how to work with them.

I am glad Kassy came along to answer, I have used it in extract (I made) it has many great healing properties but not in any lotions or potions yet! |

It is just easier to work out the actual percentage with a powder made for DIY than the extracts sold for internal usage. |

I don't think I'd use that. Tinctures are usually in alcohol etc. I'd only use something meant for facial skin. |

I don't think I'd use that. Tinctures are usually in alcohol etc. I'd only use something meant for facial skin. |
Most Extracts are in Alcohol some in Glycerin after the Alcohol is evaporated off, those are harder to find and there is a smaller variety.
I know you try to avoid Alcohol in skin care as much as possible anyway! |
