Do you think facial blotters are essential? And if you like using facial blotters, what is your much loved brand?

Def. essential for oily folks right before a photo... otherwise optional, but a nice alternative to cleansing 3x/day. My faves are American Sephora tea tree oil or vit C+E: nice and big and not gunky.

I think that was the culprit behind my massive blackhead outbreak! I was just drying my skin too much by absorbing all the oil Sad Although it may have been because I wasn't using an emollient moisturizer...

I have tried a few different brands of blotters and was never that impressed. I just prefer to touch up with pressed powder. Very Happy

It might sound kinda silly but I use toilet seat covers to blot my face. If you've ever noticed, toilet seat covers and facial blotters look pretty similar. One side is shiny and the other side is matte. I use the matte side to blot. It works just as well.

Actually, lots of people do that! Some people even use coffee filters for that purpose

Blot papers with Zincidone reduces oil up to 84% immediately and over time can reduce oil production by up to 22%. They also reduce surface bacteria that creates acne.

I dont think they are essential for everyone.

I love Clean & Clear blotting sheets, I've been buying them for years. Cheap toilet paper also works pretty well.

I use Too Faced Re-Fresh oil botting papers. They work great. They remove the shine, without taking off my foundation. Smile

I use a blotter once a day unless I'm traveling when I get lots more oily. If I don't (when I'm traveling), I end up with zits.

I've used a Walgreen's knockoff of the Clean & Clear and didn't care for them at all. They're coated with something that didn't agree with my skin. I've tried the brand "24/7" from Ulta and liked them ok except they're really small so don't cover the whole face. My favorite have been the Boscia brand. They're larger in size so I feel that I get more value for my money since I only have to use one a day.

Strange, the boscia one didn't agree with my face! The one I use is clean and clear and sephora-brand

My favourite are the Tatcha Aburatorigami papers which I use in lieu of powder. They don't irritate my skin or dry it out and I like that you only need to use them once in the day to keep your makeup looking fresh.
