My aesthetician has a big machine, don't know the brand, but she has performed several oxygen facials on me dating back to before the Madonna news several years ago. It does plump the skin only temporarily. BUT after the facial, you are not allowed to touch your face or apply makeup for several hours. My aesthetician gives me a special cloth to clean my sunglasses, cell phone, whatever will come near the face. So if you have a special evening planned keep in mind that this type of treatment should be done early in the morning & plan to go sans makeup most of the day.

Hi, a few months ago I found info on a home oxygen facial machine, was about $500.00 with skin care items. I accidentally deleted the e-mail with contact info, there was a distributer in canada that carried it.

I tried googling home oxygen facial, ect. cannot find it!!

Any ideas on what brand? So mad at myself for losing the e-mail. Very Happy

Oxygen is highly flammable so it sounds a bit dangerous.

Won't your skin have a harder time fighting off oxygen radicals if you're supplying it with so much pure oxygen? I know we have the necessary enzymes/molecules to fight off oxygen radicals, but that just means your skin has to exhaust more energy to produce them

Hi lipglossdoll,
The oxygen treatment Madonna uses is "Intraceuticals", you can find more information about it herewww.intraceuticals.com. And yes, it does work, and very well. I have been doing this treatment for 2 years on myself and clients and everyone falls in love with it, The results are cumulative so it is initially temporary but as time goes on it is long lasting and transformational. Not only is Madonna a fan, but Jennifer Lopez recently gave her testimonial for the product.
One more quick note, Intraceuticals has a patent on their oxygen tip so it is very different than other oxygen treatments. Unless you are going to someone who has the Intraceuticals machine your treatment will not be the same.
Very Happy

I read on the skin biology site that Dr Pickart does not recommend oxygen treatments. He/ they say smthng like the skin will become lazy and unable to oxygenate itself and it will be dependent on the treatments to get oxygen so if you stop, your face will look worse than ever.
Don't really know much about oxygen treatments except that salons are often advertising them.

Interesting and makes sense with regards to the bodies homeostasis mechanism albeit in a simplistic way. I would think it would take quite a bit of time with the machine to cause this to happen.

I've always wondered how the ozone therapy given off by a High Frequency Wand compares to these oxygen treatments. I know they're totally different in application though.

I thought the same. I really like DermaWand, which I used to have. I need to get another one.

From what I can see, this home oxygen skin machine is something that blow cold air to the skin. On that video from Intraceuticals, the device look like the same thing used to get air brush on your nails from the nail salon. If this is so, and you live in cold winter area, wouldn't that be very similar? I find my pores appear tighter when I do outdoor winter sports.
