I really don't know what to make of this stuff. Its probably a product full of hype but I purchased it a couple weeks ago. With all the peels I do, it's hard to tell if it's doing anything. I'm also waiting for my Gly-Luronic Acid Serum (for daily use) to arrive any day now...
I guess I'm a sucker for a pretty bottle.....not sure if I should just return it, get my 83 bucks back or keep it because it can't really hurt??
Has anyone tried this product or is it for amateurs (and I know this board isn't full of those types!)? |

Well I purchase that only once. I was not disappointed nor very impressed with it. Bottle looked pretty and fancy, product has a nice texture ect…
I felt it was not worth the money so did not repurchase that.
Basically, after using the completed bottle my skin was not any better after. I’m seeing a better a difference in my skin texture with vit C than Genefic. |

Thanks for sharing your experience. I had tried Vit C a couple times about 5 yrs ago but it made me breakout. That was before I learned about purging though...or maybe some people just have reactions to it? Not sure....... |

I bought it, tried and returned it. I did a review a while back under the Product Review forum.
I did suffer breakouts and it really was very underwhelming and un-impressive. |

I was tempted to try as as there was a Lancome Bonus a little while ago here and there was a 15ml bottle in it.
So was actually going to buy something of Lancome then (perfume maybe),
but then I just never got around to it.
Not overly impressed w Lancome skincare.
They have a fragrance free eye cream for women, it is nice but not worth $65
my $20 eye cream from Bioderma that is also french is exactly the same. |

I tried it too but since I agree with chantrelle99 and think my homemade (and a lot cheaper) vitamin c does way more for me. I guess everyone's different though. |

I appreciate everyone's feedback. Does anyone REALLY know what is in this product that they claim "works?" Seems to be a big mystery and to me...thats a bit odd....... |

I had the Genefique stuff and I bought it off Ebay, I know, I know its not the best place to buy cosmetics and skin care. But the seller is honest and it was the real thing because I had a sample of the real stuff beforehand. So, I didn't really notice dramatic results. It made my other skin care items and makeup go on very nicely because of the smoothing quality but I didn't notice any age rewinding or astounding results. So that was the only bottle I purchased. Plus, the worst part of all, the pump stopped working and I had to pry the thing apart and there was tons of product left! Lancome makes it impossible to get that cap off, I had to literally pry it with a knife.
I prefer the Dior "The One" Serum over Lancome anyday.

I only tried the Dior Capture RX? serum- the one with the pink cap and that was nice, makes from lines look less obvious.
but kind of expensive for my budget at the moment.
But sometimes the Dior counter they give samples when you buy something.\
There is also a Dior rewards program where you send your receipts online and you get Dior gifts- not sure what they are right now as i have not bought any Dior in 1 year... |

I tried this when it first launched and wasn't impressed - didn't really notice any difference right away (dumb, I know) but stopped using it because I read something about it being mostly just alcohol - never found out if this is actually true.
The ingredients aren't listed anywhere, which makes one wonder what the hell is actually in this stuff.
Just got another sample in a gwp - this time I'm going to use the full sample (7ml/.25oz) and see... |

That is very odd Sephora does not show a full listing of ingredients, which they are normally very good about. However a poster on their Q&A posted these, where this person found then I have not a clues as another posted they aren't even listed on the box? Take this with a grain of salt? I don't know for sure.

I saw a 3 out of 5 rating on MUA while looking for ingredients, so there maybe a little over 30% liked it the rest not so much. |

Just a few but nothing that unique?
BIFIDA FERMENT LYSATE is classifed as: SKIN CONDITIONING
SODIUM HYALURONATE is classifed as: HUMECTANT, SKIN CONDITIONING

I always thought this product was one of the many 'gene/DNA repair' products. Personally, I would never waste my money on this, nor Estee Lauder's Advanced Repair.
Alcohol denat is pretty high up on the ingredient list, so it's probably not great for dry skin.
I would go for a good vitamin C serum (I use C E Ferulic)- something that has science behind it. |

No I never tried it, nor am I advocating that anyone does. I just happened to find the ingredients posted by a user on Sephora, I still find it odd that the listing of them is so hard to come by? I am one for full disclosure on what I use. |

Actually, I love the Genifique serum and the eye cream. This was a very unusual purchase for me, originally---it's been over a year, and I'm on my third bottle. I don't care for the heavy Lancome fragrances in their treatments, but I kept testing samples and finally during a nice GWP, I bought my first bottle. I do love it! . I think the important thing with most serums, creams, and treatments is to use it consistently, and if you add too many products at the same time, it might dilute the effect, or create a less than desired reaction. Seriously, I surprised myself. I began to notice that each year, every major skin care line came out with new, improved, better, and more expensive. My belief in their credibility took a REAL DIVE. HTH. |

I quite like Lancome Genifique. Best thing- its very light and runny and doesn't clog the pores, which is great for my oily skin. Didn't make me breakout. It works great under makeup too.
Is it worth the money? I don't think so. I didn't see any dramatic difference in my skin after several months.

Can I ask you why you like it then, I mean if you didn't see any difference? |

What is the Genifique Eye with new Light Pearl? In the full page ad it looks like a serum but the diagram shows it used like a concealer or highlighter product -- applied to brow bone and under eyes. |

I love Lancome Genifique Eye.
I see huge difference when i stop using it (in a bad way).
It has pleasant smell and texture, does not interfere with my Philosophy Supernatural Poreless/Flawless Tinted Primer and it some how smooths all around eye area.
Works the best when used twice a day: morning and evening. And it's not that much expensive compared to other products.
True, it doesn't do a thing to dark circles. At least for me. |
