I've been Obagi-ing for about 6 1/2 months (I hadn't even realized it had been that long! just had to think about it). My pigmentation has gotten much lighter, but I still have areas on my forehead and around my temples that I would like to lighten more prior to going on maintenance. I can't remember reading about anyone who has continued on with the full regimen for longer than 24 weeks. Is there any harm in doing so? Or do I really need to bump the Clear and Exfoderm down to 3 times a week each for a few months and give my skin a break prior to going back on the full routine?
I'm really not sure what to do here.. |

Nymue,
You can continue on for another 4-6 weeks for a 28-30 week regimen. After that, I would think that Nuderm has done what it can do for you. At that point, you can begin to follow a maintenance plan. |

There is no harm in continuing past 24 weeks. Be sure to use strong sunblock and not let direct sunlight hit your skin even with sunblock on. You can continue on till your entire face is evened out. However, be cautious and monitor your skin closely for any aberrations. There should be no problem otherwise. |

I have read of some people using Nu Derm for an entire year. I know the normal recommendation is to use HQ for 3 months and then take a break, and repeat. Obagi is different, as you know, and I am with Kims in that I don't see a problem going longer, but if you see a derm I would check with him/her to get their opinion. |
