Ok, I caved and bought this despite the many negative reviews...but in my defense, there is a great review on youtube on this and I was sold!

Ok, so this is from Bliss Spa and if you can figure out the technique it is suppose to be awesome! I have been using it about every other night for almost 3 weeks....I have not figured out the given technique yet....BUT I'm still hopeful. Laughing I just came up with my own!

I haven't given up yet. Now it is said to be the 'dental floss for your skin that clarisonic is like the toothbrush'. Well we all know that one MUST floss...<SIGH> I know, we don't floss our face, but the argument was compelling on QVC. bahahahahah! I do love my MIA so this should be awesome.....

So it comes in white box and you have to charge it before the first use. Lots of reviews mentioned how hard the buttons were to push, but really I found you just push and hold for a second and it comes on/off easily. I don't push hard- I just give it a second. The first push gives you a red light and the second a green light. The red is for more intense vibrations for cleaning and the green is for the serum application part of the tool.

Ok, for the meat and potatoes. I did read the directions which SEEMED straight forward and for the life of me I couldn't seem to get this thing to work like on tv or youtube. No matter if I used it after a shower or using toner or water...I just didn't seem to get the hang of it. The liquid just wasn't enough on my skin to vibrate anything out. SOOOO, I tried something...I broke out my OCM oil and rubbed that in and THEN tried the device....(at least now I had some kind of liquid on my face for it to vibrate around). Let me tell you....a) it worked and b) oil is a great conductor...I got a weird sensation/sound thing going on as I remove the oil. Laughing I haven't read anyone using this with OCM, but I was desperate to get it to work for me. Hehehe So I started by applying OCM oil for a minute or two then removing it with the Pore-fector. I would them jump in the shower and finish with my purity and mia. I must say, my skin is looking really good right now. But I can't say it is positively due to this. I think it is helping and not hurting in anyway, but with what I am doing it seems to fit in nicely.

Now for my 'DOH' moment. Like I said, I've been getting results, but nothing to write on here about. So I've been thinking of returning it. It just wasn't a wow thing for me, but I did return to youtube to see if there were any other ways to utilize this device and OMG!!! I found a BLISS tutorial and watched it....I had the damn thing upside down!!! All this time I was using the red/green lights correctly, just not the right side of the device. <SIGH> It says to use small scooping motions and to press against the water on your skin not your skin....which I find to be very odd advice, but once you turn it around...<DUH> it does work much better and I finally see gunk on the scoop end. Don't get me wrong, using the oil I would see the occasional sebum plug and dirt, but nothing like 'this is the best thing in the world' moments...just like, 'Oh look...eww'.

So now I will wait until the last moment to return...I have a week. I will try using it correctly and see if any 'wow's come. I don't really expect it, but I will say that my skin does look nice really nice right now and this is a fun device. I am a rehabilitated picker and this gives me the weird satisfaction of getting ick out without damaging my face. For me it satisfies the urge to pick (which I know is bad). This just kinda feeds that weird fascination on what comes out of your face. Or am I the only one out there? Shock I hope not!

I do want a higher mag mirror now (which I have avoided in the past...who wants to see their pores that big?) so I can watch this fascinating device. For the price, I don't think I would keep, but I just saw it on Ebay brand new for $75 and I'm considering that. Like I said, it is fun and it seems to give a little extra 'oomph' to my current routine. I know I ramble, but I hope this helped as a review. I don't normally write these.

Ok, update time.

I still use my Pore-fector gadget (correctly now) and I find I like to use it to remove my OCM. I don't really see any difference when I held it upside down or right side up either. Laughing I just never got the hang of using this thing with the toner. I didn't see anything coming out like in the demonstration; however, when I use it to remove my OCM....wow! Lots of yuck. I still prefer to use my Purity Made simple and Mia, but I did like how soft my skin is when I OCM and I just feel like it cleans deeper.

I found that I will throw on some OCM oil and after a few minutes remove with the Pore-fector and I'll jump in the shower and either wash remaining oil off or then use my PMS and Mia. I only use it 2-3 times a week and my skin seems to like having my OCM back...or maybe it is just me. Laughing

I like how OCM helps remove plugs and I can see them on the gadget.

I also found a seller on ebay for $75. A much better price and reputable seller. I wish I had known.

Bottom line: Luxury item all the way. Fun to use and I think it is helping my skin, but not a wow item like Clarisonic. I'm keeping it since my skin looks better. I also really like the Mint Julep mask after using this. Makes my skin look great!
