I noticed Colorscience makes many different kinds of ss finishing powder but they all contain Bismuth. Although I'm not sure if I'm allergic to it or not but definitely don't wanna take the chances. Besides, I can't return it even if I do. So ladies, anyone know if there's another brand with the same sunscreen properties? Thanks so much! Smile

Here are some great sunscreen powders that have a nice finish.

Physicians Formula Healthy Wear powder SPF 50: ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: OCTINOXATE 4%, TITANIUM DIOXIDE 21%, ZINC OXIDE 3%, INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: TALC, MICA, NYLON-12, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, STYRENE/ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, DIACETYL BOLDINE, DIISOSTEARYL MALATE, DIMETHICONE, GENISTEIN, GLYCYRRHETINIC ACID, LAUROYL LYSINE, ALPHA LIPOIC ACID, OCTYLDODECYL STEAROYL STEARATE, PEG-12 GLYCERYL DIMYRISTATE, SOLANUM LYCOPERSICUM (TOMATO) FRUIT EXTRACT, SQUALANE, TOCOPHEROL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, UBIQUINONE, ZINC STEARATE, DISODIUM EDTA, PHENOXYETHANOL, SODIUM DEHYDROACETATE, SORBITAN SESQUIOLEATE MAY CONTAIN: IRON OXIDES, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, ULTRAMARINES

Jane Iredale PurePressed base SPF 20: Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide 14%, Zinc Oxide 3%.
Ingredients: Mica, Boron Nitride, Dimethicone, Stearic Acid, Plankton Extract, Algae Extract, Pine Bark Extract, Pomegranate Extract. May Contain: Iron Oxides, Ultramarines, Chromium Oxide Greens.

BTW, I also use the Colorescience Sunforgettable SPF 30, and I don't see bismuth on the ingredients list on my box of All Clear (ordered last summer). Maybe there's been a formula change, so if you find a spa that carries it, you might be able to find some that are bismuth-free.

Now that temps are expected to rise here in SoCal, switching from mineral makeup to conventional foundations that can hold up to high heat. Whatever I use (currently considering either Burberry, Hourglass or Diorskin Extreme) I finish it off with the loose powder pure silk formulation from NCN skincare.

http://www.ncnproskincare.com/mineral-makeup/loose-powder-pure-silk-mineral-makeup-foundation.html

It goes on light without caking and provides SPF20. Since this powder is in addition to Clarins SPF 40, hourglass primer (SPF15), I feel more than adequately protected from the sun.

Peter Thomas Roth also provides a great SPF powder without bismuth that can easily be applied throughout the day on top of your makeup. The only disadvantage to this product is the brush applicator tends to fall apart. Once PTR manages to perfect this packaging problem, it'll find a permanent place in my makeup bag.

Hope this helps,

I have the Colorescience Orb (love it) it does have Bismuth Oxychloride listed in the ingredients, not sure about all their products though? I have not had any issues with the Bismuth at all. Smile

Dark Moon, do you also have All Clear?

Bismuth makes some people's face itch.

I know some just can't tolerate the Bismuth, unfortunately. I believe mine is the Almost Clear, it's the medium shade. I haven't used the Clear yet. Smile

I've tried quite a few mineral makeup brands that I think might be worth checking out for you.
Larenim and Fusion of Colors have good finishing powders.
Colorscience actually worked well for me when i'm not using makeup.

I have purchased from the above companies and they have nice products. I don't remember a sunscreen powder, but both have mineral foundations that do contain sunscreen. I have a full size jar of Joppa Morning Dew foundation.

Mad minerals and Silk Naturals have sunscreen powders. Ingredients are listed on the site. No bismuth in anything ever. Sample sizes available. I buy from Silk Naturals on a regular basis and just enjoy everything. Recently just purchased again from Mad.

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 30 (the 45, acne etc ones do contain bismuth, the regular 30 doesn't).

Is Clinical SPF 20 powder sunscreen
25% Titanium Dioxide, 20% Micronized Zinc
This powder does not have Bismuth but does have Talc and parabens.
Other than that, it is a nice product.
