I think it's fine... we're in the year 2011 now. So many men have started to take care of their look that I barely even hear the term "metrosexual" anymore |

seriously, i'd rather them subject themselves to some of the rituals that we do so they look decent instead of the balding, big gut, lazy butts they were back in the day while they made their women wait on them hand and foot... so THERE hahaha Back hair? Wax that XXXX |

lol... I'm just tripping over the word "allow" here!
Its been a while since I've been in a longterm relationship, but both me and my ex did whatever we wanted with ourselves. I couldn't imagine it not being that way? This is interesting!
Of course, I never did anything all too radical but HE shaved his pubic hair once which REALLY grossed me out and was uncomfortable for us both as it grew back in. And then when he couldn't handle the male pattern baldness beginning to set in, he shaved his head. That also grossed me out, to the point where when each time I accidently ran my fingers over his head in bed (or otherwise) I'd shudder and/or scream over the stubble. It felt like a creature. I eventually got used to it but it took a long time.
I'd have been sad if he ever shaved his chest though. He was slim with broad shoulders & had just the right amount of soft, light brown chest hair.
I guess I haven't yet been with anyone old enough to be sprouting hairs everywhere and everything else that comes with age... lots to look forward to, lol! |

I don't think he needs his chest waxed (I like chest hair), but he has waxed his back. He had it done beofre we went to Mexico for my sons wedding a couple of years ago.
Poor thing, it was a very traumatic experiance. Would I "allow" it? Ha, if he wants to put himself through that torture, I will be there to hold his hand. He's been with me through every IPL, Fraxel, laser, most injections, etc. Least I can do! |

I agree on the "allow" issue I don't wish to be told what I am allowed to do beauty ritual wise, and think any man in my life deserves the same in return. Also agree with Annie OUCH, but it is a personal choice. |

Most of the guy's I've gone out with are a bit too...appearance conscious and do a lot of things related to the public so kind of do a bit too much for their looks.
like use hair gel,the last buy I was going out with was trying to "borrow" my Makeup For ever concealer for a TV appearance, lol
I don't like nail polish on guys though,,ewww.
I was at a Dior counter last week andsome guy who I'm sure is gay...he was telling me how he liked to wear nail polish.
I don't usually say that people are gay,but this one guy he was also being quite friendly towards another guy that was working there...so kind of seemed that way. |

I don't think wearing gel and makeup are considered "too appearance conscious"
But I do agree that it's weird when guys start putting colour, aside from bronzer. Even blush would be a bit strange for me |

Sure. He isn't hairy at all but the reason I said yes is bc I love to wax hahah! I beg him to let me do facials or manicures (a clean up for his cuticles - no polish obviously he is not into that) |

Depends on the man.. if its sparse and patchy, definitely. If it covers some serious real estate.. probably not. |

it's his body of course to do as he wishes, but my preference is a little hair. not too much. |

Lol,
that just reminded me my ex, ex-bf his mother used to sell some skincare line and so she was always telling him you should use a face toner and face cream, and him and his roommates seemed to collect a lot of perfumes too...
One of my good guy friends he probably has at least 30 perfumes at his place and he told me that Jean Paul Gaulthier Le Male is known for being a "gay" perfume.
I never knew that, but I guess.
My friend could be right since he knows a lot of gay people...
(not saying this in a bad way as my friend does work part time at a "gay" bar where he DJ's house music). |

I agree with the 'allow' thing. We both do what we want even if we do discuss it first. My partner is such a whimp he screams if I tweeze a splinter out so waxing............ I could never even imagine it! |
