hi everyone,
winter is here and the need for deep, luxurious, moisturizing masks! please, any recommendations and help would be appreciated. i have extremely dry skin, prone to rosacea and skin irritations. i'm currently using valmont renewing pack, and valmont nature moisturizing with a mask. in my shopping cart, now, i have dermalogica's multivitamin power recovery masque & intensive moisture masque, and orlane's bio-mimic hydrating mask & b21 viatmin reviatlizing mask. am i going in the right direction? please, let me know as i would love to add more mask products to my regime this winter. thank you very much in advance! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Hi llina... I have used all those masks bar the orlane masks. Honestly I love super rich hydrating mask and neither the Valmont or Dermalogica ones did much for me. I absolutely love Thalgo Moisture Quench Mask this is my HG. Also I really like Decleors hydra floral mask I think it is..I will double check if its the wrong name, this is better for me than the others mentioned above but not a good as the Thalgo mask.

Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution "Flower Essence" Moisturizing Mask
They are both available here just so you know:)
Good luck with your final decision! |

Oopps sorry llina I meant I have not tried any of the orlane masks so cant offer any opinion on that brand.
I honestly dont think you can go wrong with Thalgo masks...the soothing one was just that, very soothing but also really hydrating at the same time, but the moisture quench mask has that bit extra omph of hydration I think.
I cant remember the melt away although Im certain I have used it, I played with all the products during my a course I did. Most likely it just didnt impress mee as much as the moisture quench, which again I have to say I LOVE!!!.
HTHS and if I didnt make sense just let me know ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

I have very dry skin, too, Ilnia. Two of the masks I particularly love are Karin Herzog's Essential Mask (my absolute favourite - makes your face so radiant and soft!) and Living Nature's Nurturing Honey Mask (smells weird whilst it's on, but has nice, hydrating effect). |

sorry majorb, if you don't mind me picking your brains... the karen herzog's essential mask says to leave on 10 minutes, or 30 min intensive treatment. have you ever left this on overnight? i've never used any oxygen + vitamin masks but this sounds good. its in the basket!
as for the living nature's mask, its not EDS. i assume i'll have to search for it another time.
thank you for the advice majorb! you having dry skin too understand how irritating and painful the skin can get especially during the winter. i appreciate it! have a great weekend! |

Look at the anti-stress one. This one won't clog your pores but it claims to keep it calm or something like that. It worked for me. |

If you're in Asia or going to place an order on sasa.com, I would recommend the Lifecella HA sheet mask or the Mandom HA mask. Both are super hydrating and the next morning my face feels moisturised and plump. The Lifecella one contains alcohol but even so, it doesnt dry out my skin at all. |

The Dr.Hauscka Moisturizing Mask seems to work extremely well if your skin is really dry. Also, try taking high levels of quality fish oil, evening primrose oil, and drink minimum 3 litres of quality mineral water a day. I also find a humidifiers works really well if your skin is chronically dry. Although my skin tends to be oily, I have had dry issues, and when I follow the above advice my skin dramatically improves. |

hi everyone,

thank you for the suggestions... in jan i'm going to raid the bay with my vip passes and holt's... and will look more into cellcomet&dr hauscka, and also in to some masks from chanel, guerlain, and darphin (not sure of the spelling).
for now, i got panicked and just ordered from EDS...
valmont nature mask (and some cleansers); dermalogica skin hydrating mask soothing protecting spray; orlane's vivifying cleanser, toner lotion, anti fatigue-, bio hydrating-, viatlizing masks; sundari rose-, and apricot mask; thalgo moisture quench- and melt away mask.
then an hour later, i ordered more masks...
eminence peach-, hibisucs-,apricot-,chocolate-, and sugar plum masks; eminence liden-, fire thorn-, and seven herb treatments; sothy's soothing lotion and softening lotion; babor's rose toning lotion.
i think i got sidetracked but i give up! ![Mad](images/smiles/mad.gif) |

Sorry, Ilnia, I missed seeing your question before. Anyway - yes, I do leave the Essential Mask on overnight every time I use it. Works fabulously! I wake up in the morning, with plump, hydrated, even-toned, radiant skin! Maybe try it for 10 minutes at first, to make sure your skin likes it. Then, if all is well, try it overnight. I hope you'll love it as much as I do!
I think Living Nature might be an Aussie brand. Here's the website: http://www.livingnature.com/
Of the two, though, I must say that the Karin Herzog is the one that really blows me away. Best mask I've ever used, in all seriousness.
Yep, I certainly can sympathise with dry skin. You know, one other thing that made a huge, huge difference for me was regular exfoliation. I actually use Epidermx II (home microdermabrasion scrub). You're supposed to use it for a short while everyday, but I use it for 60 minutes once a week. You scrub it over your face fairly gently, and it leaves my skin as smooth as a baby's bum! It also helps to fade blemishes and gets rid of any flakies - in fact, since I started using it, I don't get flakies anymore and I'm always being complimented on my "lovely" skin.
Good luck with finding something to suit you and give you lovely skin. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

I havent been able to get to a computer for a few days but by the looks of it you have certainly got a few masks to keep you going for a while I really hope out of the ones you picked up, atleast one will really restore moisture back into your skin and bring back a more permanent glow. Have lots of fun playing!!!
I hope you have a very Merry Xmas also and a safe and happy New Year! xx |
