Curious, has anyone had good experiences with pomegranate seed oil? I'm also interesting in reading about raspberry seed oil. They sound divine. |

Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with pomegranate oil smells and tastes delicious. Pomegranate has antioxidant properties, so it's probably marvelous for the skin. |

John Masters has a pomagranete seed oil. I imagine its full of antioxidants like vitamin c. I find vitamin c can be drying so rec it for oilier skins. I havent tried his serum so can't tell you what its like. |

Trying doing a search on EDS. I think some people have posted their experience with pomegranate oil, especially in EDS's Skincare Tools & Do-It-Yourself Skincare section. |

I got some Pomegranate oil from Garden of Wisdom but found it more to be a paste, than a fluid oil. I found it a tad heavy for my skin, but it is supposed to offer some wonderful benefits. |

I use a homemade serum with a base of rosehip seed oil and pomegranate seed oil and find it to be very smoothing. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

Arie, maybe spraying your skin first with water like Avene thermal water (available at CVS) would help the pomegranate oil spread.
I usually do a spray first before using any oil or cream on my face for this reason. It also reduces the amount of product you have to use - saving $$ ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Care to share the other goodies you use in your yummy-sounding serum? |

Nuthin' fancy... I use 1/2 rosehip seed oil, 1/2 pomegranate seed oil and several drops each of carrot seed, sea buckthorn and immortelle. I switch around depending on what I have on hand, though! ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

I have used Primavera's organic Pomegranate Seed oil because of it supposed UV protection. First of all, Primavera is a great organic line, a bit pricey for me, but then I find most skin care products to be on the pricey side. It says on the bottle that this oil is for mature skin and that it helps skin to retain moisture and supports elasticity. It is a very rich, moisturizing oil that I find excellent for my dry skin. I sometimes wear it under my make-up when my skin feels particularly dry and needs some added moisture. |

I have had a lot of experience in aromatherapy and carrier oils in the past, but am not that involved anymore...once the "art" went mainstream and commercial, I "moved on", so to speak.
I think everyone has jumped on the POM bandwagon, but I doubt a lot of these companies are really delivering the product you think it is...just look at the beverages and waters which, are nothing more than over processed sugary juices with SOME natural juice.
As far as pom. oil goes, unless it is harvested in one of the 2 traditional methods, I doubt any of the benefits would be left. Also, I have not seen the oil produced by any of the well known reputable and longstanding companies...but I could be wrong. I have not seen any research either (supporting pom. oil), aside from the fact that pomegranates are high in antioxidants. I have been eating them regularly for about 25 years just because they are so delicious!!! |

Pomegranate oil sounds delicious. At the ingredients list of John Masters pomegranate oil, the po is mentioned quite a bit down on the list. From the other posts on this thread it seems like po can be used on its own, or is it supposed to be diluted in a carrier oil?
I would like to hear experiences from members who have tried John Masters Organics pomegranate oil. |

Curious Leeleedeedee, are you still using Primavera Pomegranate Oil? I read that it is good for collagen production... |

No, LondonJamie, I am not using the pomegranate oil any longer. There was nothing wrong with the product. It's just that I like to try different things (don't we all) and a while back I switched to the Kimberly Sayer sunscreen. I've stayed with that for now. |
