Londongirl,
I didn't even know that HQ came in gel form. Do you find the cream "too creamy" and would the gel dry to more of a matte finish.
I currently use the Obagi Clear, but I'd like to check out the gel as well.
Thanks! |

Murad and DDF both offer a 2% HQ gel. I don't know how effective they would be compared to 4%?? |

hey kims
yeah the creams are too thick and spread everywhere so if you trying to target certain areas it spreads there and lightens those areas as well:x
also i dont find the creams ''cosmetically elegant'' at all |

I'm all for the 4% myself since that's what's contained in Nuderm's Clear.
The other option would be to get a prescription for the gel. I know they carry it at Walgreen's.
I would also like to "spot treat" areas on my chest. The Nuderm products cause too much irritation. |

I think there's good reason why they package in small amounts. It would force you to stop and review. I don't think hydroquinone is meant to be used long term? |

The Vivier brand has a Hydroquinone 4% but mixed with Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid), you need a prescription for that, and its sold here on EDS, last time I checked, just browse the Vivier Line. |
Thank you LightenNlift,
I didn't realize that Vivier had this product. At $120, it is a little pricey. In fact, I think it's more than the Obagi C w/ 4% HQ. But I guess it's considered a gel and not a serum.
Might be worth a try! |

Im glad you finally found the HQ 4% gel. When I first saw this topic, I immediately thought of the Physician's Elite Hydolaq HQ 4% gel with 10% Lactic Acid - it was quite popular and didnt require a prescription through various vendors like Skinelite.com. Unfortunately, it is discontinued. |

Image has a 4% but it is a cream. The 2% is a serum. |

Yes and that's because gels will be stronger (or irritate more) on skin compared to creams even with the same %.
Good luck though! |
