Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation can take a while to go away. Are you using any antioxidants in your skin care? I'm thinking vitamin c serum might be helpful. |

What you had was a herpes simplex lesion, next time if you feel it coming on take some valtrex right away. Get it now from your doctor so that you have it on hand. I had lots of outbreaks and got reddness too, it does not go away easily, I cover it with cle de peau concealer and it looks great, but prevention is key. |
