Are Banta sunscreen products still available for sale in Australia? Several years ago I had purchased some Banta lip balm and three different Banta sun products, shared them with my friends and they loved it. Now one friend is planning a trip to Australia and is hoping to fill up her suitcase with Banta products. If it is still on the market, where would she be able to find it? |

Hi there, I from Sydney Australia and have never seen or heard of Banta Sunscreen products. I'm religious about sunscreens use. I actually found the best ones to be Devita and Burntout, both Americans. Unfortunately they are not available in Australia. One of our best sunscreen is the Invisible Zinc brand which has a very extensive range of products, it's a physical sunscreen and is really easy to find in Australia |

Hi mogulicious,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately they have discontinued Banta Sunscreen products about 5 years ago. You used to be able to buy them from Priceline and selected pharmacies.
Banana-Boat do make some products that are very similar to the Banta Sun Products and you can buy these readily here in Australia. I was a little surprised that they did discontinue these, as they were quite popular here and OS, however I have no idea as to why they no longer make these products???
I was an avid user of the 30+ Non Greasy Gel from the Banta line in the orange tube. You can buy as I said before a very similar product from Banana-Boat which I do use and in all honestly I really can't tell the difference. So If your wanting something very similar I would suggest this brand.
fongflyer5 I too was a very avid user of the Invisible Zinc range until I got my hands on a full ingredient list and was quite shocked at all the chemicals in this, however I did quite like the Tinted Day Wear and I was very upset to learn of all the nasties in it.
Hope this helps a little mogulicious and hopefully you find something equally as good.

Thanks ladies, this info helps as now my friend won't waste time looking for it! I did try a Banana Boat spray spf85 last weekend at the beach & it totally prevented any color, missed a tiny spot on my leg & it fried... |
