Hi there,

I am not only new to this forum but also to DIY cosmetics. I made my first facial scrub today, and I think it is safe to say that there is definitely room for improvement Sad

. While looking for recipes for anti-aging DIY skin care I found an article about peptides which lead me to read more about the subject. I finally came across this forum, and am absolutely amazed at all the creams etc. many of you make. I have so many questions I want to ask, but I will start with a few easy ones. Where do you order your peptides as an ingredient for your creams? Unfortunately I live in Germany, and have not found any here, but my husband is in the US quite frequently so I could have it sent to his hotel. Could someone please give me a recipe for an all natural anti-aging cream which a rookie like me should not have a problem making. I have also ordered a book, which I am hoping will be here soon. Maybe I should add, that I am 43 years old and want to look like I am 34 Rolling Eyes

Hi,

skinactives has a European site (UK): http://www.activeformulas.com/ They ship to Germany.

Also, there are quite a lot of online shops in Germany likewww.behawe.com or http://www.kosmetische-rohstoffe.de/oscommerce/

They do not carry everything you need for the EDS recipes, though.

thanks for the replies! I will have a look at the topic you posted, oasisjc. Funnily I ordered my first batch of ingredients from behawe, and I must say the lady I spoke to is very clued up. I just couldn't find any peptides in her shop, but have also written her an email asking if she can help. I will also look at the activeformulas site that you mentioned, Chiqui65.

Hi again,

I looked at the recipe topic,and wow are there lots!! You have all been very busy. As I said, I am a real newbie to this whole subject, so I would like to get started off with something easy. I will be getting the Palmitoyl Pentapeptide 3, but might have to get it in the US, as activeformulas in the UK have not got it at the moment, but she said she will order some. If I want to make an easy anti-aging cream with the PP3, what else should I put in that really helps? Retinol?? What would I use to make a moisturizing but not fatty base? Can one actually use these creams for the eyes as well, or should I make something different, and if yes, then what?
