I just got off the phone with Joella and I wanted to share this product as she recommended it for scars, moisture and the overall great look this product will give your skin.

She stated that she met someone a while back, at a conference, and the lady had great skin and Joella asked her what she used and she said Australis USA Rose Hip was all she used....around the eyes and on the entire face....and that she wouldn't be without it. I "think" after that point Joella said she started carrying it, as she ran into the same lady a few years later and that same lady was still only using this one product.

My apologies if this has been previously posted or reviewed, but I just wanted to share this.

I am planning on using it under the Karin Herzog Apricot, that I currently use, for the moisture it hopefully will provide my face! I will review once I get the Rose Hip Oil and start using it. Smile

I often use Rosehip oil as a moisturizer especially at night during the colder months. It absorbs easily into your skin, leaves no oily reside as it's super fine and light weight. Rosehip oil is the fruit oil extracted from the hip or fruit of the rose. It's rich in vitamin and great for all skin types.

Rose Hip oil is supposed to be very good for the skin due to the vitamins ands minerals naturally found in it. Allot of different brands offer this type of oil. You should look for cold pressed oil as it is the best form. It helps with many different skin issues and aids in the natural exfoliation of the kin.

I use Rose Hip Oil, but I always apply it last. Oil and water don't mix, so if you apply an oil first the cream won't be able to penetrate into the skin.

Rosehip oils can be extremely strong and irritate the skin so those with sensitive skin should use with caution. Also, rosehip oil has been known to cause breakouts in some people...anyone with oily skin should mix it with a carrier oil such as jojoba oil or another product. If you have acne it is recommended that you use a different oil instead such as grapeseed oil.

I've never heard this about Rosehip Oil before. This is from the Garden of Wisdom site:

Rose Hip Seed Oil (the best!!) 6 months (needs to be refrigerated or it will go rancid quickly)

Botanical Name:Rosa Rubiginosa aka Rosa Mosqueta
Origin: Chile
Extraction Method: Cold Pressed / Unrefined / Organic
Color: beautiful redish orange
Obtained From: the seed
Contains: high in fatty acids! linoleic (48%); linolenic
(35%); Oleic (16%); palmitic (8%)
Uses: remarkable for damaged, agitated, dry, mature skin

I have also never heard that it should be used with caution. Rose hip seed oil is a carrier oil. It can be an issue for those who are acne prone though. Jojoba is very much YMMV as some get breakouts from it and Grapeseed can be quite drying.

Intersting! JoElla stated to put the rose hip oil on and then the KH Oxygen on top of it....

5 tips to apply facial oil for optimum benefits

4. Apply a water-based lotion or serum before your facial oil
Because water cannot penetrate oil, hence, in the order of product application, you should apply any water-based lotion or serum under your facial oil. If you use an oil-based moisturizer, then it’s fine to apply it after your facial oil.

Above is the standard procedure, but I guess if the KH product is oil based you will be fine.

What brand do you guys think is the best? I like Kosmea, but it seems to be on the higher side. The Australis is good, as well....But wanted a few additional recommendations

I don't really know how you would tell if one Rosehip Oil is better than another. I've used a few different brands such as Kosmea and Trilogy - I'm currently using the one from SkinActives as it works out to be good value.

I read that the best rosehip oil is unrefined, a pinky-red colour and contains additional antioxidants over and above the vitamins and fatty acids in the refined seed oil. I assume these come from any fruit juice that soaks into the stone. You don't need to look for a specific brand as it is an ingredient/ carrier oil, just purchase from a reputable supplier so you know the oil is fresh and has been stored appropriately.

I find the oil absorbs into the skin beautifully if you emulsify a little in the hand with some aloe vera gel or a plain hyaluronic acid serum just before applying.

I've been using it for about a month now and it has been amazing. I also find that it works great as a foundation primer!! It really makes my makeup go on smooth! Here's a good link to a lot of its other benefits: http://www.dermaxime.com/rosehip.htm
