the "glow"....i haven't had the time to do a facial for a looong time. So I wonder if a facial or light peel would work better. My derma doesn't allow me to do deep peels (melaning issues), so my peel has to be super light. Any Rec for me? |

I always find facials are a "feel good" the massage is relaxing and helps to get the blood going which brings a nice glow to your skin. As for a light peel, it depends on the strength. Is it the same concentration as over the counter products? If that's the case aren't you better off doing a peel yourself. Both would provide a very temporary glow, but personally I think if the light peel is very light, go for the luxury and enjoyment of a facial. |

Font flyer - you got a point.. Since my peels have to be very light, a facial will work better for me....
Shasta girl - thanks x the link and record about mandelic acid.....my skin is not too sensitive but I have high risk of hyper pigmentation...
Oasisjc - last time I had a peel at my dermatologist office, they use 10% or 15% I don't remember the exact % ....Thx for the link |

The last time I had a facial, my skin did glow. Whilst the result were only temporary the facial itself felt so good that your post just reminded me how enjoyable the experience can be if you are in the hands of a great aesthetics. |

I find that I am getting the glow with vitamin C 25% at night and glycolic acid 10% in daytime. The exfoliation will help the most, go for the light peel. |

Fongflyer, Yes I'm hook for the facial for the massage and relaxation it gives.... Last time I got a peel, it was painful... U know the very strong burning feeling ... Oh the things we do to be beautiful ..
Cashmere lover, thanks x reminding me about vit C ... It worked x me last time I tried which was about two years ago... I'll try again
Glycolic acid is good... But thinking about peels again, I wait until winter... I have a hyper pigmentation problem under control and don't want to risk it... |

Angy,
Enjoy your facial! I also have to agree with cashmerelover that a good glycolic acid 10% gives my skin a glow. I'm on Obagi maintenance and after awhile my skin starts to look a bit dull, blotchy and red. When this happens I use Dermalogical renewal booster which was 10% AHA and .5% BHA for a few days and my skin starts to look fresher, brighter and more even in clarity again.
If your skin is really sensitive try a lower strength AHA product, but I do notice an improvement when I use it. |
