I am interested to hear what people think. I usually stay away from drugstore lines, but the more I think back the more I remember how beautiful my grandmother's skin was.. and all she ever used was Oatmeal soap and Oil of Olay lotion. |

I know a few people who love it. I couldn't use it. It really kicked up a sensitivity on my face. My face was all red and irritated. I didn't care for the scent either, it has a really strong perfume smell. |

Hello,
I have not used this line of product yet. I used Olay's Total effect before and it did nothing to my skin. I also found the product rather thick. I used to believe that drug store brands like Olay can be just as good as spa brands but now I believe you get what you paid for. ![Confused](images/smiles/confused.gif) |

Hi,
I am currently using the Olay Regenerist Perfecting Cream at night, and I really love it. I've been using it for about 2 months and so far it hasn't made me break out. I also like that it sinks in fairly quickly and it leaves my skin dewy.
I am also a believer of good old fashion Olive oil during the dry winter months (at night). My grandmother used it and she had beautiful skin, and my mom still uses it. ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

How about Olay Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SPF 30 / Olay Complete with SPF 15 / Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum?
Their ranking and popularity are quite good in makeupalley. Anyone using them ? |

Regenerist uses matrixyl (palmitoyl pentapeptide)as the ingredient to thicken the skin in this line. It's fairly far down the ingredient list though. It should be used at a 4% concentration minimum. You can buy it and mix your own at thepersonalformulator.com. I mix it with their cream base and it works very well. |

I found a sample tube of the regenerist serum in my little box of tricks (my mum must have given it to me when I was in Australia last July)...
I tried it the other night and ... well... I was not very impressed. It is one of those "powdery" kind of finishes.. I dont know how to describe it, but it starts like a gel and when you smooth it on it kind of vanishes and your skin has this kind of coating that you can "slide" across (does this make sense). I had a Suzanne Somers eyegel like that and I hated it.
Anyway, it is fragrance free I think but it does have a fragrance of sorts which is not nice but not as bad as some products I tried recently. It did not feel like it sunk into my skin though. I think I might try it again over the weekend but just put it on in the morning with nothing on top.
I know the sample tube wont be enough applications to know if it works, but so far the "feeling" of the product has not convinced me I need to go out and buy it to try it. |

It is for this reason that I, and others, tried this as a cheap makeup primer. Some had great luck with it; I, however, did not. I tried a sample of the scented version, and I wasn't impressed. I didn't care for the scent and it just felt like it sat there and did nothing. My pores are so big that I need a really thick, heavy duty primer, and the Olay just didn't do the job. I agree with Winnie about getting what you pay for. Then again, maybe I am just spoiled

I have tried the Olay regenerist serum- hated it, and most recently tried the Olay regenerist cream.
Let me give you a little background first. For the past month my skin has been severely dry- you can see dry skin around my chin nose and forehead just falling off. And then it got so extreme with lines appearing on my forehead (like graph paper) and on my cheeks. I looked like I had aged about 10 years and it hurt to even smile. I was getting pretty scared as i was breaking out a the same time too. I couldnt dry out my blemishes and I couldnt moisturize where my blemishes were cuz that made them worse.
I tried to old "diaper rash cream" on my face, but it was so thick that my skin didn't absorb it. I had alread placed an order with IE for their acne remedy kit and their skin souffle, but since I live in Canada it was going to be a while before I got these products. So then I decided that in the mean time I really need to do something. I headed to walmart and just started comparing the creams they had. Olay Regenerist jumped out at me since it said that it was really moisturizing. I had tried Total effects before and had really liked it, but I needed something stronger.
So I gave in and bought this stuff. I put it on that night and instantly I could feel my skin just sucking up the moisture, I was quite impressed, but thought for sure I am going to wake up with a big zit tommorrow.
Next morning, no break outs, and my skin looked like it was on its way to recovery. It has now been about a week and a half and all of my dry skin, and lines are gone, and no new break outs, and my skin looks great!
This product definately worked for me.

I tried the serum and found it too heavy on the silicone for my liking. |

I liked the powdery feel but I honestly just didn't notice anything.
I tried it under makeup only once - it didn't help with oilies so I moved on. |

Olay Complete with SPF 15....The MUA opinions of this product are in-line....very nice, fast absorbing lotion. Recommended by my Derm years ago...I always have it in my stash...has never caused adverse effects for me. It's a nice layer between serum and makeup or serum and sunscreen. If you're pretty balanced or it's summer time or you're oily then it's a light moisturizer w/ antioxidants.
I recommend the Olay (7 Signs) Vitamins and Total Effects Eye Cream (w/ light reflectors) too! |

Not yet try any products from Olay.
Last year, I heard from TV news that the Olay Regenerist Line had been out of stock in the States for quite a while. Why so many people use it? ![Question](images/smiles/question.gif) |

I've been looking at doing DIY pentapeptides myself lately and I'm not sure that's quite right. From my initial browsings it seems the concentration of these pentapeptides should be right at the end of the ingredients list because you need teeny amounts of them to reach the required level and that seems to be the case from reading ingredients listings on the expensive products too that they always fall just before the preservatives. So I wouldn't let it put you off a product.
I just ask in case you have some more specific info. I could be wrong. |

I've never liked Olay products because of the heavy creams and perfumes, but I must say I'm enjoying Matrixyl 3000. Currently using the Candessence, but I'm not keen on the texture so I'm using it at night over my Avene. I'm thinking of switching to the Multi-Peptide Serum over on Skincarecentral, which also contains Matrixyl 3000 http://www.skincarecentral.biz/skincare-anti-aging.html
I'm thinking this is the same product as the CSRX one. Has anyone tried it? |

I've been using some of the regenerist and total effects products and really like them.
I love the total effects anti blemish cleanser and the moisturizer. it feels much lighter than most. I also like the total effects or regenerist facial cleansing cloths and the regenerist skin polisher exfoliate.
I tried the serum but didn't see as much results as I did with the anti blemish. they have a new eye cream out but I haven't tried it. I just ordered a vit C serum for cellular rx and the relax a line for around my eyes. so far nothing is really deminishing that. however I am almost 33 and only have a few crowe's feet present when I smile really big. |

I've started using this Regenerist Serum (day n night) for about a week. Then try their Regenerist cream with SPF 15
I use the cream on Monday morning (without sunscreen) Then the next day I develop this red patches on cheek Haiz.. lesson learn now
Does Regenerist contains slight exfloliant and retinol?
Now my face with red patches cannot apply toner or anything with alcohol |
