I am basically a moron when it comes to hair. I tried coloring my own hair and it is a light orange (or brassy really). Its not THAT bad as its just the top and mother hasnt been embarrassed to be seen with me.
I have dirty blond hair. I had it bleached at a salon about 9 months ago. I went out and bought light blond. I realized there's a difference between color and bleach.
So are there any options of what I can do now to get the color to match - a very light blond (more white than orange)? Id like to avoid going to the salon at this point. If I can color my own hair at home that would be wonderful. I just need to figure out if bleaching it myself is the way to go.
Thanks for any help |

If you have a Sally Beauty Supply nearby, they usually have knowledgeable staff. Otherwise I wouldn't risk trying to correct on your own from what you find on the internet, you could make it much worse. |

I go to Sally's when &*#$% happens. They always give me a toner or a purple shampoo to tone it down. They rock. |

Yes, you need to apply a toner to remove the orange. Go to any good hair product supply shop and speak to the sales assistant. They should be able to help you with the correct product to buy. |

I actually do have a sally's nearby. I was going to go there first but wanted opinions here to backup anything they might tell me.
My hair falling out or turning a worse color is too much of a fear to just hope whoever is at the counter at the time knows what they're talking about. So... ill see if they rec. a toner and go from there.
Thanks!!! |

You are on the wrong forum for this... try the forum at Killer Strands. You need a strong toner or some Vanish and high life to start over. |
