After hearing tons of great info about Olay Regenerist Night Cream I decided to try it out. However, I think it's irritating my skin in a *burning* way. Is this normal? My skintype is dry-normal. |

Hi Barksdale.
I've been using this as my night moisturiser for about 4 years now and have never experienced any problems. I find it leaves my skin silky smooth. Are you using anything like retin-a on your face at the moment? Sometimes moisturisers can sting when your using retin-a products as well and you may want to try using something like bio oil at night instead until the redness goes away...
If not, then maybe your skin just doesn't like this product! |

I still use this on and off for and have for several years as well. I have not experienced the burning. I do feel a bit of a light sting when I first put it on but it goes away. But my skin is VERY sensitive. It leaves it very silky. It just doesn't always have enough hydration for me full time, so I rotate it out. |

I didn't have the burning but I broke out terribly. I also have sensitive skin issues, and I think the breakout may have had to do with the fragrance in the product. No harm no foul - I've passed it onto a friend who loves the results. |

I'm just using the Olay a night. Yeah I guess it's just my skin who doesn't like it hehe. What are some other alternatives? |

Sadly I can't use any Olay products! It broke me out big time. But my mum is fine with them. |

I think it depends on the different conditions of the skin. So before trying it, better do an irritation trial and if there is no problem, then use it. |

I don't like Olay, because it's not natural, and it make my skin more sensitive. |

I'm not using the cream, but I have been using the Regenerist fragrance-free serum nightly for years with no issues. I have sensitive acne-prone skin. I used to use it on my full face, not I use other products first then the serum just on wrinkle areas (between brows, under eyes, nasial lines). |

I've heard good things about Avene night creams - maybe give them a try - they are supposed to be very mild |

I didnt have this problem when using it, but noticed it had a very strong scent.
It could be the strong scent that is irritating your skin, how has it gone with other products that contain strong scents in the past. It is also a purple color and dye isnt exactly appealing to me either |
