I'm 17... It's mild but I don't want it there. What can help apart from Botox? |

Maybe it's from the way you are sleeping? try if you can sleeping on your back or something and then start applying a serum or pure aloe vera to your nose to plump the line out...? |

I just wanted to add be aware if you are making any repetitive facial expressions I have this habit of frowning even if I'm not meaning too. I was only made aware of it when my boyfriend pointed it out (maybe I just look miserable naturally) anyway now I know about it I make an effort not to and hopefully keeps the lines at bay. |

What do you mean by "the top of [your] nose"? Is the line on the bridge of the nose, between the eyebrows or right where the bridge of the nose joins the browbone? Is the surrounding tissue fleshy or does it feel boney? AFAIK Botox will only help if the line is related to overactive muscles/ excessive movement in the forehead. It's not common to develop permanent expression lines at such a young age. Therefore you really need to identify and address the root cause, rather than blindly treating the symptom.
A 17 year old's browbone will be thickening so you may simply be developing a strong male profile, or you may be gaining soft tissue - muscle/ fat - all over that is reflected in the soft tissues of your face. You may be squinting at school due to an uncorrected vision problem, or you could be seeing the effects of dehydrated skin related to using harsh skincare ingredients. |

You know, I have recently started to have this happen to me too! And I'm 40 and have never experienced this before!!! I sleep on a good quality memory foam pillow with a satin pillowcase which is supposed to be one of the best combinations too! It's starting to leave a permanent line on my face that doesnt disappear as the day goes! omg! and yet I have no other lines or wrinkles, no real fine lines and none around my eyes either so I have no idea why I'm suddenly getting the pillow lines and I find it impossible to sleep on my back! I think I need hypnotherapy! if anyone has any suggestions please advise!

I think you hit the nail on the head Firefox - it could be one of these things that you mention

I have a permanent one at my age. I think it's from wearing glasses that didn't fit properly.
I don't know what can be done about it. |

Is there a reason you dont want Botox in that area? I have those very faint lines and whilst botox has been a necessity for my upper eyelids in the past those lines have never been a big enough issue for me to consider getting botox for. I do know it's very cheap though since they dont have to use many units for that area.
I think not getting botox is a wise idea at your age anyway. Maybe look into dermarolling. |

Very true, It can be used for prevention but wouldn't recommend it until your at least in your twenty's.
You could also try looking into the appropriate anti-aging skincare product that help with collagen formation, that would an important step. |

Budget is also another reason, if I had money to waste I'd surely get Botox at this age hehe
Thanks |
