Hi All!
I am a long time lurker who finally decided to register and participate--I cannot tell you how many sites and products I have been turned on to (and turned away from) based on the reviews here. I can spend hours just browsing topics which is so nice because strangely none of my girlfriends are that into skincare.
My question at the moment concerns divine derriere, which has gotten consistently good reviews everywhere I've looked--is this going to be good for my lingering red acne scars? I heard it is good for hyperpigmentation, but am unsure if that is only hyperpigmentation from sun exposure/aging or from any cause? I have had several bad breakouts recently and they have left a lot of red/purplish spots that are not fading fast enough for my taste. I am hoping this can speed things up.
Also, I use retin-a micro .1% and am not sure of possible interactions? Anyone have any experience with these two? Should I use them separately, on alternating days, or...? |

I don't know anything about this product, but I do speak French.
Do you know what derriere is in French?
It means your behind,backside,butt...
That is a funny name for a face product! |

I was thinking the same.
Curiosity got the better of me and I checked out the divine derriere website. There's much mention of the ... ummm .. nether regions.
I just flicked through quickly, and this is a direct quote .. "I'll tell you what - it is a dog-eat-dog world when it comes to the anal-bleaching business!" I did hesitate before clicking on the "Before and after pictures"
Apologies to the original poster if this was a genuine question, but that website is difficult to take seriously. |

Yes this was a serious post, and I also learned way more than I wanted to about private bleaching researching this product. Never knew it was an issue for so many. And of course I know what derriere means, you don't have to speak French to understand the meaning behind that word
But I had also seen the thread that Toby mentions, and was hoping MSB would reply as to what kind of hyperpigmentation she had. Mine is mostly from acne scarring, which is red, rather than the brown discoloration that often comes with sun damage. Either way, guess I'll give it a shot.
Thanks for the response! |

If you look at my pictures, its clear that I had massive sun damage. Divine Derierre has done more to help with my sun damage than ANY other product.
I use copper peptides in the morning to heal the skin. I use Retin A .05 and DD at night every other day. I am viligant about my sunscreen. The first thing in the morning I use the bathroom, wash my hands and put on sunscreen. I use 110 spf.
If you don't use sunscreen, you are goign to have the same issues.
Please email customer service at DD. They have been most helpful.
And no, none of the before and after pictures are below the waist. The sizzle of the product is associated for ------------ stars. Say what you want, but mp before and after pics are FANTASTIC. Do not discount Divine Derierre because pron stars use it to blearch their bum. |

Thank you MidnightSunBaby for sharing your pictures....I wouldn't have known about the product without them. Your results are truly amazing. I ordered this product the other day for some brown spots on my thighs, too much sunning in my teens. |

Midnightsunbaby, I saw your before and afters, and I think you are gorgeous - both before and after!
Do you happen to have the ingredient list for the product? |

Thanks for responding, MSB!
Actually I could not tell what kind of damage you had just by looking at the pictures--as many other posters said, I thought you looked pretty great in the before shot, although I realize (as you stated) that you were wearing make up. Of course compared with the after shot, you can certainly tell a big difference in the quality of your skin, and we have similar coloring, so it inspired me!
I have worn sunscreen religiously everyday since I was in my teens because that was when I first started retin-a. I have super oily skin, so that + retin-a +sunscreen= virtually no lines/wrinkles of any kind, despite my on/off smoking habit for the last 20 or so yrs. (Currently one month cigarette-free!)
However, I still battle acne regularly, esp at that time of the month, and I am fair and it leaves quite noticeable marks that take a long time to fade. I am so sick of feeling self-conscious about my skin, and many of the tips I have learned on this forum have helped, but the scars remain. I will keep you ladies posted on how this works for me, as I mentioned earlier, every site I read reviews on this product says it is the best bleaching cream for "sensitive areas" on the market. Wish me luck! |

Before you use DD, PLEASE email Julie at customer service she can help you with a routine and answer any questions.
Night-
Wash face using a cheap Kmart washcloth and OCM with oil soluable salycic acid
I wash my face twice- once to remove makeup and the second to clean my skin.
The washcloth is rough and exfoliates on its own.
Apply a diy blend of raspberry seed oil and oil soluable seabuckthorn extract, green tea extract and orchid extract that is in a base of coconut oil.
Apply retin A and DD
in the morning it is IMPERATIVE to wash off the DD. I do this with a warm washcloth.
To wet skin, I apply a drop of raw, unrefined honey and super copper peptide serum.
Then I apply Neutragena healthy aging face spf 110
I then use tinted moisturizer and ELF tinted powder sun screen. I apply makeup. |

Now back on topic I recently purchased Derma White 2% hydroquinone but havent noticed huge results yet. I have severe hyperpigmentation from using Doxycycline three years ago and believe it or not it's still there! Who would have thought that hyperpigmentation caused by a medication wouldn't budge by now all on it's own...
Anyhoo, if I dont see results from the Derma White I'll look into the DD cream - although that percentage of HQ is very high and I do have rather sensitive skin - but I need to do something as I used to be rather pale and I cant handle my skin the colour it is - I have to conceal the pigmentation with heavy foundation which I hate having to do! |

Glamcat, are you saying the DD has hydroquinone? I can't find an ingredient list anywhere. Do you happen to know what the ingredients are? I am looking for something for my chest and arms but I don't want to use hydroquinone on such a large area. |

gah! I cant find the ingredients list but back when MidnightSunBaby first posted about this product, I of course went off to quickly look at this product as I have some serious hyperpigmentation issues
This is the link MSB posted: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DIVINE-DERRIERE-SKIN-BLEACH-BLEACHING-ANAL-VAGINAL-FACE-/220823760514?pt=US_Skin_Care&hash=item336a1f2e82
And I thought I read somewhere that it has about 8% HQ - and at this stage I'm ready to try anything! lol I'm using Retin-A (every 2nd or 3rd night) and Vivite Glycolic Night Cream every other night, I am using a CP serum and still this pigmentation lingers, so I think it's time to up the ante lol
But as I said, I now can't find the ingredients anywhere!

Thanks for trying Glamcat. I did go to that link, as well, but no ingredients are listed! |

Not sure how accurate this is but I found this listing:
Divine Derriere Bleaching Cream
Ingredients: Distilled Water, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Isopropyl Myristate, Fragrance, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Metabisulfite, Disodium EDTA, Allantoin, Sodium Citrate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, p-Chloro-m-Cresol, Sodium Bisulfite, Ferulic Acid, Niacinamide, Alpha Arbutin, Kojic Acid Dipalmifate, Licorice Extract, Glucosamine (n-acetyl), Hydroquinone USP, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate
Not sure if this is the post you were thinking of, Glamcat, but SoftSkin mentioned 8% Hydroquinone in her after treatment cream: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?p=6437862#6437862 |

Thank you very much for finding that, Havana! |

Thanks Havana - but that's not the one I was thinking of
I recall when MSB first posted her extremely impressive results I went straight off finding out all I could about the wonders of DD and I'm sure they did have the ingredients in one of their listings and I thought to myself at the time that 8% HQ might be a bit extreme - but I'm willing to try anything now!
And that one that SoftSkin got from her derm sounds pretty darn wonderful too! Now if only we could all get our hands on that one!
I inadvertently used HQ a few years ago as it was in a tretinoin product I had purchased but I had great results and never suffered any adverse reactions or rebound hyperpigmentation/discolouration so I know I'm ok with it
My current hyperpigmentation is purely from Doxycycline - I suffered a lot of adverse reactions to that evil medication!

There is no way an OTC product sold in the US would contain 8% hydroquinone. FDA regulations limit the concentration to a maximum of 2%; any more than that would be by prescription only.
Assuming that the (potential?) ingredients list posted by Havana is accurate, none of the ingredients after "fragrance" would be at a concentration higher than 1%. Given that people online are reporting skin lightening in only 1-3 days I would be wary of both the ingredients list as well as the product, at least until the manufacturer/distributor can verify what's in this! Mind you, some people do exaggerate when posting anonymous reviews online. |

Yeah I'm just not sure where I read what the hydroquinone percentage was of DD - all I knew was that I had just ordered the Derma White 2% then saw MSB's AMAZING results and I went to the links she provided and I swear I saw it was 8% (could even have been 6%) and I thought that sort of percentage may be too high for someone like myself that has very sensitive skin so I'd give the Derma White a go and them move up to the DD...
I'm usually pretty good at remembering details - prior to working from home running an I.T./audio-visual business with my husband I was an investment banking analyst so I usually get details especially numbers stuck in my head! lol A bit of a photographic type of memory
I wonder how long it took MSB to get those fabulous results? I really hope the Derma White starts working for me soon... |

Well I think my Derma White has just started to kick in and I'm starting to see results. But I am an impatient person and ordered the DD which arrived 2 days ago, so I have used it the last 2 nights. No sensitivity or reactions so far.
I just hope I achieve wonderful results like MSB has |

Midnightsunbaby, I know you have used the divine derrier and have a question. I have been using this for about a week or so and I noticed dare I say it - my wrinkles are looking less, like it has smoothed the skin. Did that happen to you, the fading hasnt kicked in yet, but I am certainly noticing smoother skin. The only two changes I have made are DD and I am taking the Dove supplement Strength from within. I dont think the supplements would work so fast - only been taking for 3 weeks and it says 14weeks to see changes.
Would like to hear your comments or anyone else that has used DD. thanks |

Hi, how did you get on? Has it worked? Anxious to know!!!
I've got an appointment with my dermatologist on Tuesday, and I'm, desperately trying to NOT buy this product until the derm tells me what to use... |

Just one question, does the DD make the skin peel?? Usually the creams I've used for hyperpigmentation tend to make my skin drier and peel,... wondering if this one does that too. |

Whoever is using Divine Derriere... does it cause any side effects? Like dry, peeling skin? I'm really tempted to try this product.
TIA, A. |
