Has anyone used both of these units?
If so, which one do you prefer?

I have the anti-aging Lightstim - received it in early December 2010. I have the DPL panel, not hand-held but do plan on purchasing the hand-held version soon.
The reason I prefer the DPL is that they (both panel and hand-held) have more infra-red lights (you don't see these lights) versus the red lights. Infra-reds (880nm) penetrate deeper into the skin than the reds (660nm). |

| I have both, and I like them both. I was looking at the DPL system and decided to buy the NUVE because the lights seems to be much farther apart on the larger unit. The lights are the same, though, so the Nuve is more powerful per square inch. The Nuve has mostly near infrared LEDs, so it can be used for sore muscles and aching joints as well as skin. It has a motor that turns on after 3 or 4 minutes that I don't like because it is noisy. The Lightstim is a bit larger, but has 4 different frequency LEDs. It seems to be better for skin surface issues. |

I have a DPL Nuve (1 yr warranty) that I bought 1 1/2 months ago and after using it twice a day (with spectacular results) it has stopped working. At first the light kept going out, so I unplugged it and now it won't come on at all. Not very heavy duty for something that cost $200. I'm VERY disappointed.
So, I decided to order a Lightstim (2 yr warranty) from QVC since it has a 3 month return policy and it happens to be on 5 payments. I wish I would have bought it to begin with. The description states that it is designed to last 60 yrs. We'll see...
I have read others state that Lightstim is more powerful, too. I'm really looking forward to getting it.
I'm absolutely hooked on this technology. I have never used anything or had any procedure (except Botox and fillers) that has made such a huge difference in my appearance. And I feel that Led lights even surpass the injectables. |
