hi guys,
I am newbie ,so bear with me,
well i am male, aged 23,for the past 1 year i have been suffering with the following skin problems in my face
1)i have some spots of dark circles under my eyes,
2)have a few black pimple marks in my cheeks
3) oily skin
i have been searching in the internet and found that eating oily food, lot of salt content, exposing our self to heat(in my case i have been exposing my self a lot to sun light and computers) will cause these kind of problems
here are some of my concerns:
in my life i had never tried any kind of creams or any other things,
i would like to know how can i get rid of these things naturally ?
and i have 4 months of free time, after that i am predicting that i couldn't spend any time for these kind of treatments,is it possible to get rid of these problems in 4 months ?
which treatment should i prefer, natural or artificial(i.e such as using creams and other products)
should i use a uv protection cream while i expose my self to the sun ?
because i had never used any of such products,if yes please suggest me a best one which shouldn't cause any side effects to my face...
hope some 1 will guide this newbie in a proper manner

Hi pwned I'm afraid I cannot tell you if you can solve these problems in 4 months. I never set deadlines when I venture out to accomplish something. I just adopt Nike's motto and just DO IT! "It" being whatever steps I need to take to achieve the goals I hope for.
Diet is important as you well know. Read the thread on the anti-aging diet in the skin forum and also this article on alkaline/acid diets. While I know your face is your focus, think of total health. Let your face represent your body's wholeness, so think lifelong health inside and out...and just start a healthy lifestyle. Fruits and veggies are your friends and if you don't like veggies, making smoothies that incorporate dark green veggies and dark fruits and apples (which are naturally sweet and make any smoothie tasty) are a good way to start introducing good nutrients into your body. Drink lots of water and cut back on sugar. Your skin will thank you. If you must have juice, look for 100% juices V8 Fusion juices have veggies in them but taste great. I find apple juice very sweet so I dilute it with water; and if I crave a soda, I use sparkling water which makes it taste like those non-alcoholic cider/champagne drinks. You can slowly ween yourself off sweet things by slowly reducing the amount of sugar you put in drinks like tea or coffee. And by diluting juices like a do. In time you find you're happier without overly sugary foods.
Now I don't know if you know about face exercises but there are lots of threads on face exercises on this forum. Here's one. Here is an article about dark circles and how face exerciss can help.
You said you spend a lot of time in the sun. You need to get a good sunblock...and you need to wear it every day of the year, not just in the summer or when you plan to be out in the sun. You make it a habit and you'll never forget to use it when you most need it. That will protect your skin. There's a thread where we were discussing hyperpigmentation. It has some info about diet that you may find useful.
And get a good night sleep. Exercising your body helps flush toxins out of your system and improve circulation which will improve nutrient delivery to all cells of your body. You could also take a Hair, Skin & Nails supplement if you're not sure your diet supplies all the nutrients you need. Cooking destroys some vitamins so unless you adopt a raw diet and eat your fruits and veggies as soon as possible especially if cuttin them up, then you could use a supplement. A multi-vitamin would be even better not necessarily for skin, hair and nails may even be better.
There are so many things on the market that promise to solve your skin problems but I believe that if you can just improve your diet/lifestyle, you will find your problems are a lot less than you thought, and then you can make wise choices about what to use topically. If you don't start from the inside, then you'll end up going broke trying to find the next best remedy for problems that seem to have no end.
I don't know what products you use now on your face so it's hard for anyone to tell you if you need to change your regimen. Maybe not. But if you want advice on that, maybe share what it is you do and people who are more knowledgeable in that field will be able to help you out. But you can't go wrong making the changes I suggest for starters. Don't even think of the 4 months. Just take one day at a time. |
