Has anyone had any success clearing blocked pores close to the edge of the lip with a light acid peel? If so do you have any application tips please?
I'm using home diluted lactic acid because I have sensitive/ reactive skin. Already cleared comedones in the chin crease (yey!), but burned a small section of skin trying to get close to the lip line with a cotton wool pad (boo). Thinking of using a cotton swab but *really* don't want to burn the sensitive lip skin. |

cotton wool swabs are much better they allow you to spot treat without affecting the surrounding skin. I use a spot treatment that contains 15% lactic acid and 5% salyclic to clear blemishes |

I just learned the hard way that I need to use a very pointed toothpick to achieve what I want to using acids on my face. I have very tiny indentations on my face and didn't use a fine enough instrument/toothpick to apply last time. The result was a little scary, but I think I lucked out and have emerged unscathed.
Moral of my story: Never underestimate the strength of acids. Esp. when you're not a professional. And do your homework right before you apply in case you forget stuff. Its so risky!
Are cotton wool swabs just q-tips without so much cotton on them? If so I think I got a couple with my acids order. |

Cotton swabs are basically just q-tips without so much cotton. |
