I am getting together an order to place at ADC, & noticed they have 30gr tubes of Glycolic Acid Cream 6% for $3.00. Is this worthwhile to use to maybe mix with a bland body lotion for all over body use? I notice another online site has it for $11.99. |

Please don't adulterate commercial products unless your dermatologist, a pharmacist or the manufacturer recommends it. You can set off an undesirable chemical reaction between the two products, or dilute preservatives below active levels or you may not achieve homogeneity. |

For what it's worth, I didn't mean squirt the whole tube into a bottle of lotion; just to mix a dab of the cream & a small pump of lotion (like Lubriderm or similar) mix together and use. I've done the same with my Retin A for years, when I got a strength that was a bit too strong. |

I stand by what I wrote which is based on working in hospital pharmacy for over three years, one third of which I spent in a manufacturing unit. However it sounds like you have already decided your plan is safe, so I wish you all the best. |

In honesty, I wasn't so worried about it being safe, it was more a question of would diluting it down that far even worth fooling with. OR, would that amount of dilution be enough without being too strong. Does that make sense? |

What dilution do you plan to use and will that be w/w, v/v or w/v? |
